  I am also an Uwaysi, at the level of a beginner. I appreciate the subject of this talk and the work of MIAS. It has helped to contain and suppress my inflation when it was a threat, and I am made to be "God wary", and to embrace my intrinsic nothingness.   Yusef Casewit's translation of the book by shaykh Tilimsani has recently been published: "The Divine Names: A Mystical Theology of the Names of God in the Quran" (Library of Arabic Literature). I highly recommend it!

  Has there ever been any effort to harmonize-unify, to map Ibn Al Arabi's ideas to modern sciences, esp physics and neuro-bio-psychology? (perhaps a bit like what Zukav did with eastern religious ideas and modern particle physics) Also, how about comparisons of Al Arabi's thinking with Taoism and/or Buddhism?

  The Barzakh is the triad that births the tetrad. The Barzakh is the third that is both A and B, it is also AB and the Barzakh simultaneously gives rise to a third namely C which brings forth the fourth the tetradic D. This fourth is also known as Turiya in Sanatana Dharma [Hindu philosophy].

  One question where I am not sure if I have understood it correctly: Does Ibn Arabi claim every human being to have a Qarin from birth onwards? Or just some human beings? Thanks for clarification.

  As i understand from Ibn Arabi's theories, i say that he believes that every human is born with a Qarin.

  Yeah that's right... Its from the Prophetic saying.. Plus you can see the Qarin, Hamzad once you're inner eye opens.. And this is how to see what people been upto etc.. Ritual has to be done though unless you got a Perfect Master..
