I have planted creeping thyme seeds in the manner suggested...nada, nothing. I tried germinating them indoors first, hardening them off, and transplanting as seedlings...nope. The seedlings promptly croak. I do not know the magic rule for growing creeping thyme from seed.

Like another commenter, I’ve used this method and have very little success rate in germinating nasturtiums - and perhaps I should add that I don’t seem to have a problem germinating any other flower/vegetable seeds, so was hoping to learn something new. I’ve tried soaking, scarifying, soaking AND scarifying, but again with little success. So, I was hoping to learn something about why my germination rates are so poor with these seeds, but this video made it sound like they’re easy to germinate, which has not been my experience.
Will pinching off healthy blooms encourage more? My nasties seem to only get one or two flowers every season

why do my floweers keep dying??
Keep one or 2 seed heads at the end of the season, its way more than enough for the next year. Just deadhead as soon as the flower starts to get unsightly(those seeds wont be developed), and your marigold will be blooming like crazy.
Hello Eden Brothers, I live in adelaide. I had planted 9 bulbs on 4th may 2024 in well drained soil. I have given little spraying of water every 5 days. Now it had grown green sticks about height of 3 inches. Will it give flowers of saffron and when ? Am i making any mistakes ? Since 4th may weather is between 23° to 6°. Does anyone know how I can keep spider mites off mine? I planted it outside. Little holes has appeared. I’m guessing it’s spider mites.
Ican get them to germinate but after that they die. I think my soil is off. Do they like moist or dry conditions?

Morning glory vines are better to have rather then seeded ones, vine morning glories do not reseed which the vines keep growing by the vines themselves, seeded glories will go dorment in late fall causing much removal of the dried out seeded vines, so there is big difference between the two, seeded does give more colors to choose from which vine glories only come in one color blue.
