This was originally written and recorded by American singer/songwriter Jake Holmes. Jimmy first reworked it when he was in a band called The Yardbirds, then he reworked it again to record it with Led Zeppelin. It would become his showpiece number when played live.

That's funny, Eddie Van Halen actually got the tapping because he saw Jimmy Page doing it! Yeah, this is one of my favorite songs, but let's face it, there are just SO many..you'll see! Oh, and you might as well get used to "never knowing what to expect" when it comes to Zeppelin. Everything they did was different. They can't be pigeonholed into any style or genre, they did it all. Yep, Bonzo was an absolutely phenomenal drummer, the greatest. All of them were just masterclass; an insane amount of talent in one band. They've been my favorite for over 50 years. Nobody like Zeppelin! I think a good way to do lives would be to finish the first album, then do the available live performances from it, then move on to the second album, etc. I've seen other reactors do that way and it's been very enjoyable for them, and for us. Ok, this is getting too long, sorry about that. Glad you're enjoying it, can't wait for the next one! ☮️❤️

You could at the end of the album, pick some lives you want to do, not all the songs were preformed live though. The end of August, I’m going to go see Led Zeppelin tribute band called Get The Led Out, I’ve heard they were really good so I’m hoping they are.
@sicotshit7068Күн бұрын
Yes watching the live performance is amazing, it’s hard to find the long one though. Page is using the violin bow again there in the middle, & he’s a master with it. Something I think you’d like, & it wouldn’t interfere with your order, Bonham’s 20 minute drum solo called Moby Dick. You’d see why he’s the greatest drummer, he also beats the hell out of them with his hands. Nobody’s voice compares to Plant’s, his range tone & textures, suit each song they preform. That Moby Dick solo, I believe the best one to watch live is at Earls Court (1975), only because it shows better what he’s doing. These geniuses are like 4 parts of the same musician, that’s how tight & in they are, even during improvised lives. Each live of the same song is different, no two concerts were ever alike. Again hard to believe they were only together 2 months when this was recorded. Thanks for your reaction, glad you are loving them.

Much of this was predicted by the late professor Zeev Sternhell, a Holocaust survivor and Israel’s foremost authority on fascism, who explained in his 2018 essay titled “In Israel, Growing Fascism and a Racism Akin to Early Nazism” that these fascists “don’t wish to physically harm Palestinians. They only wish to deprive them of their basic human rights, such as self-rule in their own state and freedom from oppression.” Though the appointment of the sadistic Ben Gvir as minister of National Security is about wishing the Palestinians physical harm. In short, those who continue to doubt that fascism is an impending danger for Israel, are not paying attention to how its coalescing chauvinistic forces are planning on ravaging whatever is left of Israel’s liberal institutions in order to turn the Jewish state into a full-fledged fascist theocracy.

Palestine has been suffering for more than 78 years from the Zionist occupation, starting with the Nakba of 1948 until the recent events in Gaza that the whole world is witnessing, but no one takes action. This only shows us the horror and injustice of the world in which we live... I just wish peace for my beloved country 🫒🍉

Remember that all of this did not begin on October 7, it began on May 15, 1948 by the Zionist occupation, which killed and displaced the Palestinian people from their land, and there are without any shame videos of former soldiers in the criminal Zionist army talking about the atrocities and crimes they committed against the Palestinians during the Nakba, They burned some of them alive and cut open the stomachs of pregnant women, they committed many atrocities to a defenseless people who did not have any form of weapons! The Palestinian resistance only responded to an injustice that lasted for more than 78 years...
