The young Robert Moog used to work for Raymond Scott. Scott hired him after seeing the theremins Robert was building. Raymond was building his own early electronics out of phone switching circuits!

Her synth keyboard skills are exemplary, as everyone rightly recognises, but for me it is the wondrous use of silences, delay, decay and pauses that truly set her music apart. Magnificent stuff. Good video too, glad to see Bella Donna outdoors & upping her vitamin D. Namaste, one love❤️

I remember how highly anticipated that instrument was, and I remember listening carefully to Stevie Wonder's "Songs In the Key of Life" to hear it (one of the first big record releases to feature it). The music production company I worked for bought one early on, and I got to spend a lot of time playing it. In all seriousness, after the initial excitement (because of all of the hype), I (and a lot of other players I knew) weren't that impressed with it. It was kind of a glorified electronic organ. The basic tone production was very organ-like, with just an added filter and VCA on each note. Kind of a glorified ARP Omni. In some ways, the ARP Omni strings sound was more useable. We didn't really have a polyphonic synthesizer until Oberheim and Sequential Circuits products hit the market.

I would like a Modal Cobalt 8, 4 octave level harvester, blocks like in the Nord Stage piano. organ, samples, analog units and all this with built-in speakers and acoustics like in a Macbook, with support for external MIDI keyboards. even Teenage Engineering has much more interesting solutions. Come on now. I want a cool laptop to put on full-size headphones and devote all the time on an hour-long flight to making music! The Cobalt 8 model is the basis. just a cool joystick above the keyboard. a handle on top for carrying, a powerful 10 thousand mAh battery and blocks of synths and sounds like in Nord. I also like the Korg Pa1000 and its sound of live instruments, flute, saxophone, duduk... So I want a combine harvester so that I can create samples myself and stretch them to all notes at once, and a sequencer and a sampler for at least 30GB of files and that all this is compatible with open formats

would this work using subharmonicon for the sequencer/voices?
@MoogSynthesizers9 күн бұрын
No, it wouldn't allow to send out 6 envelopes following different rhythmic patterns, but you could certainly do a variation on this patch with the two envelopes, and experiment with the other cv signals coming out of Subharmonicon.
