What if every Pokemon game took place on the entire world the size of Kanto? While only 150 Pokemon existed throughout the franchise? But only overrated ones like Charizard, Gardevoir, Lopunny, 9 Eeveelutions, and Arceus. While every handheld only had one Pokemon Gen, and they're always only two versions. And every sequel Gen took place 5 years after the last one, always had transfers from past games(even from GameBoy to GBA), and introduced new forms of existing mons like Regional Variants, Ancestrals, Paradoxes, and Bloodmoon? How'd the Pokemon franchise have been like? How well would it have been recieved?

The Pokemon franchise with a limited scope and focus on existing Pokemon could have had some interesting twists: Positives: Deeper Worldbuilding: A confined world like Kanto would allow for intricate details and a rich history for each location. Every corner could hold a secret, encouraging exploration and lore building. Strong Competitive Scene: With only 150 Pokemon, the competitive battling scene might be more balanced and easier to learn for newcomers. Players could truly master their favorites. Focus on Pokemon Design: With limited resources for new Pokemon, developers might have poured more effort into refining the existing 150. This could have resulted in incredibly well-designed and balanced Pokemon. Emphasis on New Forms: Introducing new forms like regional variants and Mega Evolutions could have kept the gameplay fresh without bloating the Pokedex. Imagine a Ground-type Golem or a Fairy-type Arcanine! Negatives: Stale Gameplay: Limiting the number of Pokemon generations to one per console might feel repetitive. Players who enjoy discovering entirely new Pokemon might lose interest. Less Variety: Restricting the Pokemon pool to just 150, even with new forms, would limit team building options and strategic depth. Competitive battling could become predictable. Disappointed Fans: Focusing on "overrated" Pokemon according to your prompt would alienate fans who favor other Pokemon. The franchise thrives on the vast array of creatures to collect and train. Limited Exploration: A confined world like Kanto might feel restrictive after a while. Players who enjoy exploring vast and diverse regions might find it repetitive. Reception: The reception would likely be mixed. Hardcore fans who enjoy deep worldbuilding and competitive battling might appreciate the focus. However, casual players who enjoy discovering new Pokemon and exploring diverse regions might be disappointed. The limited Pokedex and focus on specific Pokemon could be seen as a gimmick rather than an innovation. Overall, it's an interesting thought experiment. The franchise might have been more niche but with a passionate following. However, the broad appeal and ability to cater to various player preferences is a big part of Pokemon's success.

@@KFlareProductions Ever heard of Dunbar's Number? When a human brain can only recognize 150 individuals at once and maintain meaningful relationships with them. As it's been studied that humans throughout history have been in groups of 150 like hunter gatherers, tribes, companies, and militaries. Anymore than 150 would've been too much for the brain to handle and things wouldn't function properly(which is probably what happened with Dexit awhile back as it's harder for both GameFreak devs and players to have 1,000 mons in one Gen). Heck, GameFreak has about 150 employees for they said that it keeps their company a peaceful environment. And on social medias like Facebook, even with 500-1,000 friends, you couldn't remember, talk with, or care about most of them; just 150. And often times, you'd unfriend most people while keeping the few you've interacted with the most. Hence, why 150 Pokemon would've been the perfect solution to solve the franchise's problems. It would've made things easier and more functional for both GameFreak and players.

@@tlst94 Whoa! Spot on about Dunbar's Number, dude! Never thought I'd see someone drop anthropology in the comments. Basically, it's like our brains can only handle around 150 real connections, you know, folks you recognize, know the drama with, all that. That's why those hunter-gatherer groups and military units were all roughly that size. S'why social media gets weird after a while too, too many faces to keep track of! Haha, that GameFreak thing is hilarious! Maybe they're onto something with the 150 employee sweet spot. Keeps things chill, you know? Probably wouldn't have that whole Dexit mess if they were a team of a thousand! Although, gotta admit, catching 'em all would get a lot harder...

This should be Goku's super saiyan theme period. No matter what level. Imagine this version as Super Saiyan God Mode with Blue Hair or Ultra Instinct Goku. Our computers, phones, TVs wherever we're watching DBZ, and DBZ Super. We hear this when he's in Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan God Mode and does any of his special moves. Kamehameha, Spirit Bomb, Super Spirit Bomb, Spirit Saiyan. Would explode due to the epicness of Goku.
