    If c is a and is good for major doesn't learning this transposing technique fit well of major instead of minor. How does this system lend it's self to suspended chords in other words is there a sequence of chords that are similar as they are in caged but start and in with a suspended chords ? ( ITS YES AI ANSWERED MY OWN ) Transposing techniques can indeed enhance understanding of chord structures in various keys. Here's a breakdown addressing your points: ### Major vs. Minor Transpositions - **Major to Major:** Transposing from a major key to another major key maintains the same intervals and structure, making it straightforward. - **Minor to Major:** Transposing from a minor key to a major key involves changing the interval relationships, which can be more complex. ### Suspended Chords and Sequences Suspended chords, like sus2 and sus4, replace the third of the chord with either the second or fourth, creating a suspended feel. In a transposing system similar to CAGED, you can incorporate suspended chords by recognizing their positions within the system. ### CAGED System with Suspended Chords CAGED is a method for learning chords and scales across the fretboard by recognizing the shapes of C, A, G, E, and D chords. - **C Shape:** Csus2 (x32030), Csus4 (x33010) - **A Shape:** Asus2 (x02200), Asus4 (x02230) - **G Shape:** Gsus2 (300033), Gsus4 (320013) - **E Shape:** Esus2 (022000), Esus4 (022200) - **D Shape:** Dsus2 (xx0230), Dsus4 (xx0233) ### Example Sequence A sequence in the key of C using suspended chords could be: 1. Csus2 (C shape) 2. Fsus2 (A shape on 8th fret) 3. Gsus2 (A shape on 10th fret) 4. Csus4 (C shape) These chords move through the fretboard using recognizable shapes, making the transition easier. ### Summary Transposing major chords is straightforward, while minor to major requires more adjustments. The CAGED system can incorporate suspended chords by understanding their shapes and positions. A sequence of suspended chords similar to CAGED could start and end with suspended chords, providing a harmonious progression. If you have any more specific questions or need further examples, feel free to ask!

    I completely get everything you're saying here. I have been trying to find what the chords are in a 1, 6, 4, 5 chord progression if the key is a minor key. For example, Em, being the key or the 1 chord, I believe the Am is the 4 and Bm is the 5, but what I am not getting is what is the 2, 3 & 6 chords in a minor key.

    You can add two of at least 64gb memory sticks in the back of it. And as many as there are extra styles and or voices. To date There are over 250,000 styles added to mine above standard. All are accessible. Remember to place folders on the root not embedded. Although, many have three folder deep too and they all work. There is no limit.

    Each entry in the registry bank contains the settings stored in all 8 registration buttons. Under each register button all kinds of settings (voice, style, tempo, dsp settings, function buttons, pedal mode and many more) are stored. So to make it useful for a particular song you want to play, you can store not alone various different instruments, but also effects, switching to a next variation, volume and samples under the 4 pads buttons. I think you should start with register button 1 and work you way up to even 8 per song you want to play. You can even assign a foot paddle to switch up from one register button to the next. Then you can keep you fingers on the keyboard. Leon Castonguay has a nice tutorial about PSR SX900 registration memory actions.

    Hey sir,I think it actually memorizes ALL 8 of those buttons under that specific name you select - not just one of the buttons. You can basically prepare a set of sounds, rhythms and other stuff for one song or even your most favorite ones and then just quickly load them. If you press only the left/right button, it will toggle the memory banks. I suggest you read into user manual - these are great machines. I have one too, but don’t have as much time to use it as I would wish.

    Harvey, As a long time Nashville musician and producer I'm always glad when anyone is teaching the Nashville Number System. Unfortunately, most of the online videos attempting to teach the NNS are using the incorrect scale as the basis of the NNS. Your chart showing the scale (1, 2m, 3m, 4, 5, 6m, 7dim) is NOT the NNS. All the chords in the NNS are Major. The C Major scale is: 1=C Major, 2=D Major, 3=E Major, 4=F Major, 5=G Major, 6=A Major, concept of

    I've a long way to go. You make barre chords look easy. Do you use nylon strings?

  • @harveymccluskey3270
    @harveymccluskey32703 жыл бұрын

    Hi Brian, great to hear from you 😊 I use metal strings. But 2 things help out. Ask for light gauge strings. They are easier to push down. And next, most guitars have a way to adjust the neck. My goal is to make playing as easy as possible. It's called a truss rod. It can bring strings closer to the frets.. and if the strings rattle, you can adjust it so strings are slightly higher. KZread.. truss rod.. you can find helpful info. All the best!!!
