  I heard it happens when your ps4 isn't cleaned, and the Playstation overheating is causing the controller to disconnect but idk, I also just disconnected and reconnected my controller and that seemed to work for a bit, but also my Playstation didn't start doing this untill I got a new wifi router and everytime the internet connection fades it disconnects my controller

  i thought this was the case too but it still happens even after cleaning it. I also found out my internet wasn't an issue as well. I think it's just something to do with Sony and a way to push people into buying a ps5.

  @wheezing. hmmm, have you tried resetting ur ps4, clearing cache, deleting games, disconnecting all controllers and then reconnecting them?

  Yes bro I feel you 100%! Does your PS4 do this when something’s downloading? I’ve noticed it does it really bad when something is updating or downloading, it does it like in the span of every 2 min or so…

  @Wheezing Hey try using your Ethernet cord and set up lan internet instead of Wi-Fi. Some ppl say the wi fi and Bluetooth are causing it to crash when they cross or something idk but worth a shot..

  I figured that but it happens with all my controllers even at full bars. The thing is I don’t understand how it happens with the Internet cuz when it does happen it kicks me out of the game I’m playing (if I’m playing online) and the party I’m in. I’ll even test my internet connection and it’s fine, along with every other device.

  This happens to me all the time and if you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know because I’m struggling ready to throw this thing out the window. 😂😂😂 I was playing campaign on MWR and I wasn’t in a party or anything like that. I just don’t understand why even when playing offline it affects the whole console. For me to be able to reconnect the PS4 controller again I have to turn off my PS4 all the way and unplug it. It’s also not an internet or console thing because this is a whole new console and I’ve been moving around a lot and does it at multiple locations. So what could it be?
