Why did they not clean before this?
I refinanced three times during the Clinton administration. Then I made 2 electronic principal payments each month in addition to the required full mortgage payment. I modeled the mortgage principal-to-interest ratio to the penny using an Excel spreadsheet. I payed off my mortgage at age 50 and saved $66,000 in interest. Always hit them with principal payments, not the double-payments that give the bank more interest.
Use your tax refund to pay your principal. Or pay 1 extra payment towards principal a year to knock 8 years off of 30. I just paid my off in one lump sum. Working on paying off 1st investment property soon, then 2nd in 3 years. I'll have 3 paid for houses. I'm single with no kids BTW.

@@crand20033 no it doesn't. There are 12 months so bi-monthly means twice a month. That's 24 payments dude. If you pay every 2 weeks then you end up paying 26 payments. It's simple math.

Say if I was making payments for the first 6 months with the extra payment, and on the seventh month I Only Could Make the regular payment without the extra payment. Will I get any penalties for missing the extra payment.🤔😊💝💝
I don't think so. That's is just additional payment so as long you pay the mortgage due amount then should be fine. I have been paying extra too

Wow that's incredible. My mortgage was around there too with rate 4.375% then due to the lower rate, I refinanced with rate 2.375% and I have been adding additional payment to principal but I doubt I will pay off in less than 10 years

There’s a much simpler way to pay off a mortgage by circumventing paying interest, and it doesn’t involve convoluted and complicated bi-payments.
