Dude, u forgot about the Peddler steak house and 5 Star Chinese just to name a few, also Luna Italian restaurant....... really there's so many that it'd really be hard not to have an hour long episode just to come close to naming them all. Like the Big Easy restaurant or Jimmy V's...... Trust me there pretty much all worth at least a try, you'll fall in love quickly with one of them.😊
Just these to my Raleigh Google My Map for an upcoming vacation!
“Macaroons” aren’t the same thing as macarons. They have macarons at MSFH. You have to learn the correct terminology for food to do food-related posts!
Thanks for watching :) I like to eat, that’s my qualification to make this video
Helpful video
Glad it could help!
You just appeared in my feed. What state are you discussing? (You may want to mention that in your videos.) Thanks
North Carolina!
Its Raleigh with an a, and this kid here is living in the farytail land of that area for sure. I stay an hour away in Fayetteville. Its deffinantly not that nice unleash your really wealthy or have a great job! Im a born and raised North Carolinian!
Neither bud
Great information! Thanks for doing your homework on this.
:) thanks for watching!
So true! And I’m very happy about it. Very pleasant and professional people moving in. Keep Raleigh nice :)
Heck yeah! 👍🏻
Appreciate the content but I have to say that, as a new resident, Angus Barn and The Pit are two of the most overrated restaurants I've tried in the area. Prime BBQ in Knightdale and Dampf Good BBQ at Phillips Farm in Cary are miles ahead of The Pit. Still looking for a good steakhouse but Angus Barn, outside of the Christmas decor, is not worth the $$$. Cowfish was a good place to try because it's unique. Salt & Lime is great....Mezcalito should be in the next video. As a guy that married into a Mexican family, I can promise that Mezcalito is the best in the area. I need to try Death & Taxes soon.
Appreciate the suggestions brother 👍🏻 it’s all subjective haha
Thanks
Thanks for watching hope it helps!
What about Holly Springs?
Close to 15% still super strong
What if you don't want to drive? I heard there's companies that will do it for you.
Many employer relocation packages offer something like that. Otherwise there’s plenty of done for you moving services. Just expect to spend a few thousand.
I’ve been Charlotte for 3 years and thinking of moving to Raleigh I appreciate this video! I need a smaller city coming from the Twin Cities Charlotte is amazing and it’s beautiful but I HATE driving here, there is much to do. But I’d rather visit then have this hustle and bustle every day of my life!
Glad you enjoyed it!!! I love Raleigh and Charlotte was a contender but this area is more laid back for sure. 👍🏻
Thanks for your reply but I’m looking to rent a house not apartment so I’ve been looking on Redfin but thanks. I subbed to your channel because you do good informative videos. 😊
Interesting comparison. Dallas(DFW) is the size of Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High point and metro Charlotte combined and your still short 600k people lol! I’m not hating as I’m from NC and now reside in Metro Dallas. Austin would have been a better comparison, but even it’s more comparable to Charlotte these days.
Austin blew up lately. I considered it but still SOO HOT AND HUMID. And now super expensive like jeez. Coming from Dallas I have ZERO isssues with size of the Triangle. It’s big enough to have an incredible life here
thanks this was so helpful.... I am looking to rent first. do you help with that or just sales ?
Apartments here don’t usually cooperate with real estate agents like they do in other markets. I’d highly recommend using apartmentlist. That’s what I used when I first moved here myself :)
@@Itsbenjamincarver I’m looking to rent a house not apartment so I’ve been looking on Redfin but thanks. I subbed to your channel because you do good informative videos. Thanks
There are tons of young professionals living in Raleigh's actual downtown.
Yup really nice apartments there super walkable. Just not as close to work for those who are in rtp
The lot sizes are large in much of the area north of 540 because that area is in the Falls Lake watershed, and it's a reservoir for the area. Large lot sizes means more $ for them, which means that the houses end up being pricier. The area just lends itself to single family luxury development.
Very true. And it’s such a beautiful area at that. Lots of lots even have second houses which many people love. Very secluded feel but close to everything still
As a NC native, it's getting a little scary with all the transplants coming into Raleigh. A lot of people don't understand or respect southern culture but are swooping in and trying to pretend we're California 2.0. .... we are not. Raleigh is the city of oaks, but we may lose the name at the rate of trees that are being cut down 😅
Speaking as a transplant myself I think everyone deserves a shot at finding a place they feel at home in. Raleigh is a hot spot for sure, as is Florida and Texas. It will be interesting to see how things develop on all fronts over time. Protect the trees! That’s why I moved here
Great informative video. @Benjamin would love to get in touch with you and get help.
Hey! Do you have an Instagram?
I'm thinking about moving down there. 2 things I would like to ask: How bad are the snakes down there as far as you have experienced? Also, the tornadoes is there allot of destruction or more like small cases here and there. Thanks great video.
I’ve seen 1 since I’ve been here. It’s a good question. During the summer most likely of course. I spend a lot of time on trails here and just kind of keep an eye out in case. Coming from Texas originally I was already used to that issue. Haven’t seen bad tornadoes it’s a lot of small stuff. Same with hurricanes. We are kind of on outskirts of most natural disasters which is awesome
@Itsbenjamincarver That makes me feel better I'm going down there to buy a house soon with 2 young boys. The last thing I want is for them to not even play in the yard cause there worried. Thanks! I heard as long as you keep your property in shape you usually don't have to worry.
Dude don’t get ppl to come anywhere near here quit tht Shxt
You’re right! Raleigh is the perfect balance of it all! Moved here, and love it!
Couldn’t agree more!!
Poole’s Diner and Poole’side Pies are two different restaurants. Yes, they are side by side, and have the same owner, but you mentioned Poole’s Diner while the video was showing Poole’side Pies.
They go hand in hand!
Watch out for those covenants!
👍🏻 hoa and covenants kill many deals
The Pit? BBQ for out of towners.
I make a lot of these videos for outsiders who want perspective into Raleigh 👍🏻
Very nice presentation! I think you've got a bright future.
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the support :)
Question I have a video interview from Redfin and I’m debating if I should leave my full job working in the mental health department to do real estate full time any tips on if I will make ends meet financially if I leave my full position any advice?
The Redfin job is it associate or actual full time sales agent? The former might not get you enough tours to earn a full time living, despite the dollar per hour being amazingly high. But I hear those who become salary plus commission agents with Redfin can do quite well if they handle the volume of transactions well
It’s the AA
NC State is the team that recently took out Duke. In fact, NC State took out Duke in both the ACC and NCAA Tournament. Go Wolfpack!
Got that one mixed up lol. Epic game none the less and they are killing it
a few......
I love new construction duplexes and quadlexes . What is the price
Duplexes in our market new go for around 600k give or take. Often even attached. This one is $675k for the two or you might be able to get a deal for all 4 under $1M. Not bad when they are all separate, brand new, and will do super well as short term rentals
Thanks for taking us along with you through this process! It was very interesting.
The weather sounds amazing! Thanks for making this video. It was very informative 👍
Oooh I love that deck! Great find!
Thanks for sharing. I’d like to come and visit a few open houses. I’m 4.5 hours away, have never been there but watched many of your videos, and it’s a place for ME!
How did you lock down a 3% interest rate?
Hi, apologies for any confusion. My rate was 6.75%. I’m assuming that was the example rate that was in my calculator that you saw. However, I do know some FHA and especially VA people who are taking on assumable loans in our market premium prices 3% rates. Pretty competitive though.
@@Itsbenjamincarver Hey! Thank for your answer. Can you get a 3% rate with a VHA loan? I didn't know about it. I thought that if you get a VHA loan, it will be the market rates...
@@venusdyk637 many lenders will allow you to assume an FHA or VA loan, especially the latter. In theory if a property is listed as having an assumable loan then they have already gotten permission from the lender.
Great video. I am looking forward to visiting both cities.
👋🏻give me a ring when you’re planning a visit
I’m 39 and people have been doing this for decades but good job on chopping it up into a video.
👍🏻 best way to get started IMO. Works in Raleigh, works pretty much anywhere
Much appreciated with the vid. In the RTP area as well so this is definitely good info to have. Though definitely would be curious on a more in depth into the calculator as well. Sort of a 'What I needed to know when I added it to the calc and why?' As I know I'm still a bit knew to real estate ventures like this. But house hacking does sound really appealing so long as you can keep consistent tenants and such.
Working on that calculator video shortly! I’ll let you know
Great video my man!!
Thanks Ethan 🙏🏻
I'm impressed with the ingenuity and professionalism that you are exhibiting so early in your adult life. Good for you.
Thank you so much! Just trying to help others
At the end of the day all that matters is crime. So if you want a crime video would get you hits !!
Appreciate the video idea. Safety is definitely an issue for most people. I can’t legally give any opinions or steer people based on what I consider safe but I can definitely whip up a video based on independent research, crime rankings, etc. stay tuned!
@@Itsbenjamincarver … I would love it especially if it has 2024 numbers
Is Charlotte more safe?
really amazing content
Hey thanks 🙏🏻 really appreciate the love and hope it helped!
Charlotte all the way 💪💪💪💪
WOW! THIS ACTUALLY IS QUITE GOOD ! NOT BAD AT ALL! ☝👌👌👍
how ?
More affordable than Orlando. Also, NC has state TAX
