Why would a dead person need comforted during a thunderstorm? The dead person is dead. It's not like they have any emotions anymore.

Check out the Brockville Ontario Canada train tunnel that just reopened for tourists. This one should be open to public.

I'll admit I thought this was a satire film when I saw the title but I totally got into it. It got creepy for me though during the bathroom shots lol, I started to imagine ghosts in there with you! I appreciate your appreciation for all the small things, reminds me of my dad. Might have to make a trek down here myself.

I must add to this. I lived near enough to Timberline Lodge to go often from childhood, summer and winter. I was born in 1951. I spent my honeymoon night there, but only 1 night because someone had reserved the entire lodge after that! Everything in Timberline Lodge was made by hand (1936-1938 to give people jobs in the Big Depression); all the iron work, all the furniture, all the woodcarving, hand woven fabric on all the chairs, handmade rugs on the floors, handwoven giant draperies on the windows. The rugs, drapes and upholstery were replaced again with handwoven fabric and handmade rugs around the late 1970's. My husband worked for a short while in Portland repairing older peoples' homes for free in the early 1970's, and we actually met Orion B. Dawson (who was the designer and overseer for the wrought iron in the lodge) when my husband worked on his house!!! What a wonderful experience. He also did the wood relief carving such as is shown in this video of the oxen and covered wagons going over the Oregon Trail. He gave us lessons in wood carving for free! He also gave us some blueprints of the work he designed. We were wowed! His wife played in the Portland Symphony and taught violin. She gave us free violin lessons. A wonderful, wonderful couple.

I must correct my comment concerning the wood relief carving. While Orion B. Dawson did this kind of carving, the carving at Timberline Lodge was done by someone else. He may not have designed the wrought iron work, it seems, but he did oversee all of the wrought iron work. Many, many people participated in the artistry in Timberline Lodge.

I visited there when the Spruce Goose was still in the big round building nearby. Then, 15 years or so later, my husband took me to say there when our daughter was about 54 years old. Interesting ship, I loved it, but after having been on cruise ships to Mexico it wasn't nearly so interesting. I was spoiled.

The day these institutes, knowledge (which by the way only occupy seekers rather than deceivers and cannot be stolen) in general are opened for the undeserving and crooked minds, which is only possible by demeriting the system and induction humanity will start to suffocate is source of life !

Always drawn to the prestige of Oxford University and universities in general, the sanctity of humanity lies and is protected by the clean, uncorrupted minds, who thinks about changing the world for better rather than giving in, in the concept of adapting to a cruel, unjust and corrupt world ! Merit and the crowning of these universities by deserving alumni and great personalities such as humanitarian and sports figures is the protective shield that can retain humanity and hope alive for the world !

The interesting thing is the chair is entirely worn thread bare. Was the chair in this condition when he was sitting in it? Did exposure just make the chair fabric disappear? I realize this chair is over 160 years old, but what caused it to wear so thin?

I understand the collapse danger, but It's too bad they can't dig/drill a hole just large enough for a person to get through, directly over the location of the train. If for nothing else, to retrieve and properly lay to rest the remains of the bodies for the surviving family.
