Bro you are like 10....speaking about an S class. It's like 5 years old talking about technology behind solar panels. Drive some shitty cars for a full working week (if you work in office and do 0 physical job then its not for you) and on the weekend go out with a nicer car for reward then you gonna appreciate the feeling of every luxury car.

You’re definitely right about the headlights 😂😂 the reason I chose my W220 compared to other Mercedes was really because of those split circle headlights I loved the Mercedes of the time but that design was and still is questionable to me and idk if I like it or not 😂 but the S Class was the only 4 door to not have that…… and I was also in the same boat as you where I wanted an LS430 but even high mileage ones were so expensive whereas I got a 1 owner garage kept and less than 100k miles 2002 S430 for like $5k….. and so far owning it has been a good experience.

You can use the mechanical key to open the trunk in case of a dead battery. Just turn the mechanical key to the left until it stops and push in the key and button. You dont even have to open the trunk, there are two terminals to the right of the engine bay that can be used for jump starting.

Lol I feel you. I have always been a Toyota guy, and by accident I ended up owning my current car which is the pre-facelift w220. I initially hated the whole concept of the car, but as I started driving it (nobody wanted to buy it so might as well use it to go to work instead of a bus) I started to grow into it. It is a very comfortable and effortless car to drive. There are couple of minor faults but I am planning to fix them when weather gets warmer. Also my fiance is a car painter by profession so I am planning on fixing any rust patches too. I think I will keep on driving with this car until it totally fails... I remember getting chauferred in one of these when I was a kid, and it was the first time I’d been in an S class Mercedes. I had such high expectations, but the centre armrest in the backseat creaked every time you leant on it. This one issue ruins the entire experience of this car. When you’re paying so much, and expect Mercedes solidity, something like a creaky armrest is unacceptable. It is this lack of attention to detail that makes this S class very underwhelming. In saying that, I do love the exterior design.
