We do miss this form of racing. Would go to the event in San Diego California USA. They took off from Brownfield and raced above the channel at the embarcadero.

Где то была передача о посадках пилотов в кабине, и тогда была непонятна "надвисающая" посадка, когда голова с грудью почти на уровне колен....

@@RRR-lb2xz Replacement is on the way, it's starting in 2022 I believe. I only hope that Šonka, Goulian, Hall, Muroya, Ivanoff, Le Vot, Dolderer, McLeod, Murphy, Velarde and the others will be back.

Nigel Lamb is literally the only pilot I know of who got a DNF... and still won the heat. I’ve never seen that before and I wonder if this is the only time it ever did happen.

What An amazing event. Would be amazing to see different "hoops" at different altitudes requiring pilots to also manage their height. Also would be cool to see them all race at the same time but it's obvious why this isn't the case.

A little curious how they keep calling this the fastest motor sport? These guys are great pilots, don't get me wrong, but when they fly during the Reno Air Races they are just a side show. At the air races they are going head to head with multiple planes on the course at the same time at speeds in excess of 500 mph at times. I like the Red Bull Races but lets be real.

Marketing. I don't see why it gets you bent out of shape. Exaggeration in marketing has always been a thing. Doesn't make the racing any less cool. The claim refers to air racing in general, which Reno Biplanes, RBAR Edges and Reno Jets all fall under.
