Nice video !!! Is the white boat a sundolphin ? If it is how stable is it ?
@burbotfryindashack911811 күн бұрын
It’s a sundolphin water tender 9.4ft fiberglass. It’s incredibly stable because it’s a tri-hull. Got it at Canadian tire about 8 years ago. Very durable too. It’s normally a row boat but I put an electric motor in it and built rod holders to fit in the oar slots.

Thanks for pinching your barbs! Solid fish handling skills as well. Barbed treble hooks are fish killers.
@burbotfryindashack911822 күн бұрын
Agreed. It was nice that the hook just slid out most of the time. Easy to keep em pinned anyways with the current.

Didn't think you could catch them in such shallow water. thought they had to be in water 20+ feet down.
@burbotfryindashack91187 ай бұрын
They can be anywhere in the lake throughout the water column, it’s just easier and more fun to catch them in shallow water since it narrows down the area, making it easier for fish to find your lure. That’s why you should always fish for rainbows on sharp drop offs

That lake is so nice and clear! Great fishing brother. Good start to the season for sure. How long does your GoPro? Battery last in the water like that?

@@avid.venture when filming in 4K 60fps it only lasts 45min-1h underwater but two hours above water. Also depends on temperature of course. That weekend it was only -2

Thanks for releasing them and not naming the lake! I've seen so many recaptures over the years its more exciting than gumming a smoked muddy old trout in my opinion.
