    Saw your video of the JetCat P200RX engine runup. I assume many are familiar with the SubSonex Jet with the PBJ engine. As I understand it the PBJ engine has very expensive and IMHO, ridiculous and prohibitive maintenance requirements & costs. Looking around I see engines such as the AMT LYNX GAS TURBINE MET 1569 with 300+ lbs of thrust with a more reasonable price and hopefully much more reasonable maintenance requirements. Does anyone here have any thoughts regarding this? TBoone in Texas 0TX1

    Very interesting aircraft. What is the status of the aircraft? Was it every repaired? Can't imagine building something for 20 years and then this happening.

    Thanks for your video. My Xenos plans call for the 3/64 hole in the hinge. However, I thought it meant to also drill into the pin. Since it is steel, I thought that might be error-prone. Your video just saved me a ton of aggravation.

    Hi Daniel, your Dad did the conversion on the gear, does he have plans? or did he design himself? I am looking to convert my own.

    Very informative, thank you. As a new PPL I was interested in hearing some figures as I hope to own a 172 soon. You just got a new sub and keep up the great content.

    Any idea what the fuel economy was at that altitude?

  • @Hazza4257
    @Hazza4257 Жыл бұрын

    Main limitation for flying cross country in a 172 or similar at such a high altitude is the strength of the winds. if it's behind you, great. if it's a decent headwind down low, I woulda thought you'd be practically standing still at those altitudes

    That ole' girl had to be sucking air up there. I'd be petrified to do that but being a pilot myself, I'd be intrigued to try it too.

    Great video! I am a student pilot and I know that my first solo flight is coming up soon and I want to get a recording of it. But since I do not own the plane I don't want to stick anything permanent on the ceiling of the plane that I am renting. You mentioned that the mount is very sticky. Do you think it could still be removed without damaging the surface that it is attached to? Thanks!
