This is the channel for Reecoil MFG Co. We develop tool lanyards and tool tethers for Arborist and Rope Access workers, with our tools on work sites around the globe.
We aim to keep this channel up to date with our latest product videos featuring fall arrest, arborist and rope access equipment and information.
Established in 2015 out of Melbourne Australia, we started with producing our flagship product the Full-Reach chainsaw lanyard. Developed with a number of features, including a coil tool lanyard design, to maximise the extended to recoil ratio. This was a great development as other tool lanyards used a standard bungee lanyard design, which restricted reach in a lot of work situations.
Fast forward to 2023 and we now have a range of products. Including; tool tether for hand tools, high strength retractable tool lanyard, high strength coil tool lanyards and a whole host of more new products.
Head to Reecoil.com for more information and to get in touch with a member of our team.

LQQks very trick ! 👍🏻
Gotta get the pink and gold carabiners to match🤙🏻
Got a question, is it possible to combine hand ascenders and foot/knee ascenders to have a 4 ascender system?
an excellent demo, great tips & thanks!😃🇺🇸
Rec/Comp Climber.
I'd love to get into tree climbing. Loved climbing trees when I was a small kid. Great to know this system, I'll definitely need to watch a few more times to get it down.
What’s the name of this helmet
Hello, is that chest harness can fit to petzl sequoia double rope version from 2019.
Yes, it fits that Sequoia. The suspenders fit to the 2” webbing on the harness
Thx for the tutorial, really helped! Keep doing a great job! :)
Thanks for the great feedback! 😊
I wish the grass was shorter
Us too - it gets snakey in tall grass 🐍😅
Is it a problem to put both lines through the quickie, knot blocked for a cinch static line.
What harness is that?
It’s a Petzl Sequoia
Absolutely brilliant video mate!! I'm just learning how to throw, and this video showed me how to throw as well as many other things that I never even thought of. Nicely done mate, keep up the good work!
Really glad it was useful for you 😊
😂❤
💧🤸♂️💯🤘
👍
Forgive me, but where you in the army?
What you did was great, but I have to see it many times before fully understand it.
Where can we buy both fids that you used in this video?
Not that serious 🤣
💞Wow🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍💜💜
Switched from vt ... prefer the knut on hitchclimber system drt and works on a wrench for srt similar to distel... never looked back.
I enjoyed double Alpine with a ring but I'm sure this helps so much more with the friction.
Very clean 👌
Can I please get some more help I can’t figure out how to pinch it and get it to fit:(
Nice rig thanx
Love the knut! Good video but like most friction hitch videos you don't actually show which side of the hitch the micropully and carabineer go on. I'm assuming since you hold it straight down from the cross over at the end that you're clipping in on that side, is that correct? I've been running the end back to the other side to clip in but am curious about how others do it.
Thumbs-up for the lanyard trick.
I loved you saying your knee climbing set up just rolls up and “lives” in your chest pouch when not in use. I use the same expression this thing lives here, that thing lives there. My granddaughter picked up on it and uses the same expression to describe where a thing is kept. Generally used to describe the location of tools in this home, I guess it may be a “guy thing” worldwide to say some inanimate object lives here or there. It really was a thing for a while with the wife and quite funny, but now she will say the same thing about where something is kept at times and we all chuckle . Enjoyed your tutorial.
How tall are you? I am 5ft 9in tall . I like your method of rope walking. Do you make and sell the knee ascended setup, what would it cost?
Dan is 5’7” and is actually running a custom knee ascender. Here’s a video we made, showing how you can make your own custom Knee Ascender: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZN8lZKrgZeoc7g.htmlsi=MuY7FtoWiFddzqB0
A better idea. Instead of electrical tape. Use Fray Check to glue in and lock in threads from coming undone. You could also put electrical tap on top of that once it dries if you really want to be sure
Very nice video. btw, 'quick-draw sling' = dogbone. Also, having the carabiner nose upward is indeed a best practice when the carabiner is used as masterpoint anchor. During trainings, the saying then goes ; always screw down so you don't screw up !
Didn’t that end too early? 😅😂
Great video mate, can I ask where you got the tether for the eye to eye at the bottom on the system? Could you just use a bit of throw line? Thanks again
Hey mate! It’s actually a custom tether to perfectly for my height and step. We did a video on making it. I’ll link it below. Let me know how you get on: How to build an SRT Knee Ascender for Tree Climbing kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZN8lZKrgZeoc7g.html
Thank you for the tips 🤝
thankyou,many good points are mentioned!
Thanks @jacobzjm Happy you found it useful 😊
a magnet with a steel shot bag works way better
See that purple pouch on it, that should of bin with the design, putting a phone in the back while climbing isn’t practical 😅
Wait till you see what’s coming… There’s method to the madness 😎🤫🙌
Running bowline do just fine
Too much friction when dropping over multiple redirects
I like it!👍👍👍
"Simple as thar" agreed.. but only after a 2500 dollsr investment intk all the ascenders. Which btw is fucking awesome it looks cool if you havent used it but after youve used rhat setup youre esctatic like....😊😊😊lmao
Us tree climbers seem to collect spare gear… 😅
Great tutorial. 🤙
Thanks Mark! What knee ascender setup are you using at the moment?
you can use the alpine buterfly instead of the soft 8 .
Too much friction when dropping over multiple redirects
I find the pile hitch is the simplest option to attach my throwline to my climbing line. I like to avoid too much clutter & my throwbags don't have a loop on the bottom but I like the 10 oz Petzyl bags & I keep a WesSpur 14 oz. bag on me in case I'm in a sticky situation. In all cases that I use a pile hitch with my throwline I snug it about a foot above my small sewn loop on that working end of my climbing line. My throwline has about a 2.5" loop that slides onto my throwball & also makes it easy to attach above the sewn loop on my climbing line. I have a new setup of a kit that is very simple to get me up into a 🌳 SRT style in case I want to advance on another MRS system that I can't set from the ground. I'm pretty excited about that new collaboration this spring.😮😅.
Thank you for sharing your expertise!
My pleasure!
Thanks
Won't the cord come up a little short since you didn't do the Croll marking while it was girth hitched?
True. Probably lost about 5-10mm from the spliced large eye to girth hitching it. Good pickup 👏🤙
Pretty much all knee ascenders are "custom" lol nothing special here same as everyone elses
Multiple knee ascenders on the market from lots of brands
Bad clipping I wanted to see your system get jammed in the union
