REECOIL

REECOIL

This is the channel for Reecoil MFG Co. We develop tool lanyards and tool tethers for Arborist and Rope Access workers, with our tools on work sites around the globe.

We aim to keep this channel up to date with our latest product videos featuring fall arrest, arborist and rope access equipment and information.

Established in 2015 out of Melbourne Australia, we started with producing our flagship product the Full-Reach chainsaw lanyard. Developed with a number of features, including a coil tool lanyard design, to maximise the extended to recoil ratio. This was a great development as other tool lanyards used a standard bungee lanyard design, which restricted reach in a lot of work situations.

Fast forward to 2023 and we now have a range of products. Including; tool tether for hand tools, high strength retractable tool lanyard, high strength coil tool lanyards and a whole host of more new products.

Head to Reecoil.com for more information and to get in touch with a member of our team.

I'd love to get into tree climbing. Loved climbing trees when I was a small kid. Great to know this system, I'll definitely need to watch a few more times to get it down.

Love the knut! Good video but like most friction hitch videos you don't actually show which side of the hitch the micropully and carabineer go on. I'm assuming since you hold it straight down from the cross over at the end that you're clipping in on that side, is that correct? I've been running the end back to the other side to clip in but am curious about how others do it.

I loved you saying your knee climbing set up just rolls up and “lives” in your chest pouch when not in use. I use the same expression this thing lives here, that thing lives there. My granddaughter picked up on it and uses the same expression to describe where a thing is kept. Generally used to describe the location of tools in this home, I guess it may be a “guy thing” worldwide to say some inanimate object lives here or there. It really was a thing for a while with the wife and quite funny, but now she will say the same thing about where something is kept at times and we all chuckle . Enjoyed your tutorial.

A better idea. Instead of electrical tape. Use Fray Check to glue in and lock in threads from coming undone. You could also put electrical tap on top of that once it dries if you really want to be sure

Very nice video. btw, 'quick-draw sling' = dogbone. Also, having the carabiner nose upward is indeed a best practice when the carabiner is used as masterpoint anchor. During trainings, the saying then goes ; always screw down so you don't screw up !

I find the pile hitch is the simplest option to attach my throwline to my climbing line. I like to avoid too much clutter & my throwbags don't have a loop on the bottom but I like the 10 oz Petzyl bags & I keep a WesSpur 14 oz. bag on me in case I'm in a sticky situation. In all cases that I use a pile hitch with my throwline I snug it about a foot above my small sewn loop on that working end of my climbing line. My throwline has about a 2.5" loop that slides onto my throwball & also makes it easy to attach above the sewn loop on my climbing line. I have a new setup of a kit that is very simple to get me up into a 🌳 SRT style in case I want to advance on another MRS system that I can't set from the ground. I'm pretty excited about that new collaboration this spring.😮😅.
