"A classic is classic not because it conforms to certain structural rules, or fits certain definitions (of which its author had quite probably never heard). It is classic because of a certain eternal and irrepressible freshness." - Edith Wharton
Welcome to my channel! As you can see, I love old movies and I hope to share what I can with you. Some of my videos will be random and have nothing to do with classic movies, music and actors, but I hope you enjoy them nonetheless.
Thanks for visiting!

Anyone notice the nerves on the guy's face as he starts to spell out Oklahoma but lifts when he realised he got it correct?
So, who else is here after that scene in Band of Brothers?
📺. That helps me plan
Can’t dock with the Eugena ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🚓📡🎥
I love this song 😍 it's the best thing ever 😅
A macabre scene in a film that came out five years before Hitchcock's PSYCHO!
I had to come here because my friend didn't get my joke. A squirrel at her work unfortunately got run over in which an employee had named Jud. So I started singing the song and no one laughed. Hope yall appreciate my humor 😊
I need more Kids ❤️
What a pretty colour dress.
What a wonderful , beautiful voice! I have found the original soundtrack with her voice. ❤❤
Thought this was going to be The Small Faces .
Snare drum 🥁, he got in Oklahoma
Goosebumps 😊
i was obsessed with this musical as a child, funnily enough. It was legit my favourite, watched it everytime I went over to my grandparents house. The music still gives me shivers. Gordon Macrae's voice is just sensational.
Aw. but the dust bowl. Crap.
Gloria G Looking at her various roles……tremendous range.
Gene Nelson was a dancer among dancers and one of the very best in this world! When Hollywood musicals were at their zenith during the first half of the 50's, Gene's star shone bright in films like Tea for Two, She's working her way through college, Painting the clouds with sunshine, Two sailors and a girl and Oklahoma. I was more than amazed to see singer Doris Day keep step with him in their synchronized dance numbers from Tea for Two. His movements were vibrant and seamless at the same time. Yes, his style was fusion: ballet, tap, top, interpretative combined with acrobats like the trapeze, somersaults and pirouettes. Oh yes, Gene in 1957 starred on stage in the 1957 play 'Darling I'm Yours' with Lisa Gaye in the female lead. In the 60's and subsequent years, he played in TV movies and also took to direction.
Thank you! I couldn't agree more! He was the best of the best. He combined the elegance of Astaire with the athleticism of Kelly, and in my opinion danced better than either of them. In addition to ballet and tap, he was also a trained ice skater, and even that figured in his dance routines. Those Arabian cartwheels (without hands touching the floor) and many of the lifts he did with partners all came from skating. Of course skating and ballet do have some moves in common. Nobody was lighter on their feet or danced with such elegance and athleticism as Nelson did. I was amazed to see that he returned to dancing after a horse fell on him in 1957, while making a western film, but return he did. The following year he appeared in a New York production of Oklahoma, returning to the role of Will Parker, which he played in the film version. He also danced on Broadway in 1971 in the original production of Follies. Also, all through his career he had that wow factor in his dancing, that "Oh my god, he's not going to do that", but then he did it. He should have had so much more recognition.

It was Rodgers and Hammerstein in the first part of my life and the John Williams for the next part. Who will fill their enormous shoes in the last third of my life?
This happy song delivers your daily dose of 'feel good' vibes. You're welcome 😊
Let's see some hands: how many people prefer this to the overture of the stage play (and not just because the orchestra's bigger)?
My home ☘️🇺🇸 trump
Love Steiger in this scene, RIP Legend.

Who would have thought we’d have Rod Steiger in a musical? What a multi talented actor. Did a stellar job in Doctor Zhivago.
