Fun fun times. Third years getting saucy with each other as always. Throw in Idia for that and it’s a nightmare. Love mangoes, I like them in smoothies over bananas because bananas have a strong taste that block out all the other flavors. My least favorite food is flounder, just that particular fish. Deep down Leona does care about his family. He just wishes they’d see his point of view without vetoing them on the spot and at least give it a try. Lack of validation can make people really bitter.

I did the customary 300 gem 10-pull for this one since I wanted the Kalim card. I had done at least 25 pulls a piece for Floyd and Ace, and Riddle and Lilia, during the Stitch event and did not strike SSR gold. And wouldn't you know it? Just like with Master Chef/Culinary Crucible 9, I get the first major card for the showcase on the 7th pull and Leona's card (rank not factored in) on the 10th and last pull. Again, characters I hate just seem to fall into my lap according to the Gacha gods. Unlike with anything Sebek related (That guy is responsible for more than 33% of Lilia blue-balling me with the Dorm Uniform, General Lilia, and Tropical Wear Lilia cards I have been shelling out gems for in the past 6 months.), I will not say no to this card as it is SUPER GOOD Defense, sorely needed in future battles against dragons and Overblot monsters.

I really liked the video, I agree with most of the ratings. To Leona's point, I think that if they are right that Leona's disdain towards Cheka is because of her brother, because in the Playful land event, she never treated Gidel badly (who is a child only a little older than Cheka), So I think that Leona does not get along well with small and very imperactive children, but if he is a slightly older child (type of 8 years or older) and calm, he could get along well with them. Also, I have the headcanon that Leona's children would be very attached to Kifaji and would even call him "grandfather" since, to them, Kifaji is more of a grandfather than Leona's real father

Ah, on another note. Leona hates wasting resources outside of food, right? In the original JP dub, he does gripe that Falena is just wasting water that can be used for the public on this fountain. He’s thinking progressively unlike most of his people. I respect that, bet he’s an avid supporter of recycling everything you can too.

53:50 I think I have an idea as to why they changed his name to Neji. Apparently Kifaji means food, while Neji means something like bosom companion or friend. XD The NA team probably didn't want to call him "food". Also, it makes me so happy to confirm that Leona cares about his people. He clearly wants the best for them but is misguided on what the best is. He's talking about going from one extreme to another when he should be looking for a balance. Lacking a solid infrastructure is no good, but neither is large scale mining.

You are very on point there about the name change for the character. Also because, this event takes place during the kid tv show Lion Guard and in one episode it gives backstory to Scar's past before he demise in the first movie. Sweet enough, in the backstory, Scar and Zazu used to be very good friends in the same way as Leona is with Kifaji/Neji. I do believe, JP name reflects the movie, while the EN reflects the kid's show. Which to me is a neat touch. On another point... the reasons why they changed the event title. Because most of it just translates to My Festival. But also, to the word Mina from the JP title, it can mean poa (just good) or pua (nose) but the really, really funny thing is that pua in English is slang for Pick-Up Artist. Definition is that someone, usually a man, that seeks to seduce and gain sexual success... sooo I know the EN translation team is trying fast to change the title to be more friendly in the end and I don't know why... that's just funny to me!XD Sorry for the ramble... I just wanted to share my own deep dive after finding out the event dropped and spot the differences for why.XD

So I saved and saved for this event. I had enough for 10 pulls. I thought surely this will do. First I pulled 5 times. Got Kalim, yay, but no Leona. Decided to do 5 more the next day. Next day and I did it 5 more times. I kept bloody getting Kalim after Kalim. Practically gave me him 7 more times. By the end I was ready to scream. Then I only had enough for 1 last pull. Another Kalim and card after card I was getting close to crying. Worked so hard so I wouldn’t have to pay for more diamonds. I didn’t want to think about what I would have to pay if I didn’t get him. Worst I wouldn’t have anything for his birthday and it would be all for naught. But the VERY LAST CARD I SAW GOLD SPARKLES. YES ON THE 100TH CARD LEONA CAME TO ME.🎉 To say I was yelling and jumping up and down is no exaggeration. He finally came to me. Am I mad that I spent 3000 diamonds and only got him once? Yes but I still got him and I’m thankful for that. OMG you got him TWICE? (Slaps hand to face.) I should have bribed him with lap pillow and ear scratches. 🎉 Congrats to you. Now I’m gonna spend time with my new sexy Leona. 🦁 Unfortunately, I won’t have enough for his birthday. But oh well. 😢😊

Since I was feeling a bit discouraged from Leona not showing up on the banner with the pulls I did, I was originally going to do more tomorrow when I was not. However I had a gut feeling to do another today. Whenever that happens, more often than not, it isn't without a reason. It is how I have nabbed SSR's I have wanted. So I did and was going to go from there. The Magic Mirror had an almost angry look on his face and exclaimed, REVEAL UNTO ME THE NATURE OF YOUR SOUL! I saw gold sparkles, which I always look out for. I knew it was an SSR. Please be Leona was all I was thinking. I tap the screen when seeing coffins without the fancy design waiting for one to show up. When one did, please be Leona was back on my mind. It wasn't. The color was Scarabia. I was discouraged again because I have not experienced more than one SSR showing up on a ten pull. So I remain tapping the screen just to be greeted with...LION GARB LEONA!!!!!! I WAS SO OVER THE MOON HAPPY!!!! And this is the first time I have had two SSR's show up like that!! It was a repeat copy of Jamil's dorm uniform card, but I was fine with it. I love him, too, and he is now uncapped by one. I guess he gave me luck seeing as how he is at Leona's hometown too. I really find their relationship fascinating, so I guess the game knows. LOL. Congratulations on getting him too!! I was just as happy as you!! The home screen outfit swap reactions of his are just the best!! Have a good rest of your day!

(Not because I’m a Rook stan, I just cycle through all of my cards so the voice lines don’t get stale).

Ear scratches did really work. I should have waited for the tip. Congratulations! I tired to lure him with a guestroom that is a beach and has a grill full with meat. I didn't plan to go all out for this card because I wanted to have gems for the half anniversary, but by the time I have realized, I was in too deep with 50 pulls so I've continued. He came at 88. At that point I decided that I might as well use my single keys to get to 100. Leona appeared a second time on pull 95 and then also on 100. Boy took everything I had.

Congrats on Leona! I got so lucky. I originally was going to skip the banner but decided to give it a go and do one 10 pull. When I saw the SSR effect I got excited but it turned out to be Ortho but almost immediately SSR Leona showed up, along with SR Kalim in the 10 pull.

Sorry for sharing so late! Things are pretty crazy right now, but I still wanted to share! I am now convinced I am an outlier in the Twisted Wonderland community… Even though Crewel isn’t my personal favorite staff member, in the general sense, I love that the staff members are finally getting cards! It certainly beats only receiving voice lines and getting featured here and there in the main story and events, which does give us a bit more to work with/more time in the spotlight for them, but not a whole lot. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind owning all the staff member cards, even for the staff members I don’t really consider a favorite of mine because I find the cards really awesome. Trying for all of them depends on three things for me: 1. How many keys and gems I have once these cards come to the English version. 2. What may be happening before, during, or after the month the MAP event runs in the English. Chances are for the staff members that aren’t personal favorites, if there’s a banner I want to try for more, I’ll probably focus on that one instead of the staff member. 3. If the Gacha on the banner is kind to me. My personal favorite staff members would be Professor Trein and Sam, so I know that, if I am able to, I will definitely be trying for their cards when they come to the English version. I think I want Sam the most, though. Looking at the staff members lineup in the album, Sam is on the very end so he’ll probably be the last staff to get a card unfortunately. But at least Trein’s will be next. While on the topic of Sam, two things: 1. Something for Sam that would be pretty cool would be a Halloween event that takes place at his hometown, with lore from both the Princess and the Frog and the Haunted Mansion being incorporated throughout the story. Sam can accompany the students, perhaps? I’m honestly surprised the Halloween event like this has not happened yet. It would be perfect! 2. Before moving on from Sam, it really makes me wonder what the English version will do when his inevitable card makes its way over? Editing his sprite/in game character model is one thing, but editing his artwork from his future card is another. I hope they don’t because I won’t be pleased, honestly. I’m not sure how much I would want to pull for a card that’s been edited, even if I really want it. Fixing something that may be wrong is one thing, but completely removing something is another. Example: from what I understand when Silver’s Platinum Jacket Birthday Card first released in May of this year for the Japanese server, the initial groovy illustration at launch was missing his eye make up, so they issued an update or patch, where his eye make up was fixed or added. That I can understand. Wait a minute, what if the English version edits Sam in the fourth anniversary illustration, too? I really hope not…The only upside is that the Grim card’s for the anniversaries are free, so nothing will be spent to get them, unlike with Sam’s inevitable SSR card… ❤️♦️♣️♠️ Thank you so much for being amongst the fans that have noticed and mentioned how Cater is a part of one of the characters who has not seen an event SSR since October 2020!!! The only non-birthday non-event SSR he has been given since then would be his clubwear one, and that card is nearly approaching two years ago since its release. As a big fan of Cater, this drought for him is disappointing. I’m hoping to see something for him this year, before it ends, even if it isn’t an SSR, sadly, but it would be better than nothing at all… Jade is in a similar situation, and even though I don’t have a preference for Octavinelle as a whole, I feel bad for him too, and really sympathize with his fans. Hopefully when the Book 7 Octavinelle card releases, it goes to Jade over Floyd, but we’ll have to wait and see. Despite not having a preference for Octavinelle, I am going to be honest, if the Book 7 card is either Jade or Floyd in their merforms, that would be so cool! Jade’s clubwear card is the first non-birthday SSR he has received since October of 2020. It was surprising just to see him get that much, not so much for him getting a clubwear card (since it was obvious he would at some point), just that he was getting a non-birthday SSR at all. Speaking of Jade‘s clubwear card, even though I don’t have much of a preference for Malleus, either, I’m honestly surprised that he did not get his clubwear card this month, seeing as how they are duo magic partners, but I guess it could be because of what is happening this month. Back to the SSR card thing, though, it’s frustrating that this is happening to certain characters not receiving new SSR’s, both in general, and because there is a skew with some characters getting more attention-especially with SSR’s-over others. Some examples of characters that have a considerable amount of SSR cards up to this point in time would be Kalim, Vil, and Rook. Kalim has the most out of everyone, with Vil and Rook catching up. A part of me can’t complain about Vil, since he is a fan favorite of mine - nor Rook, to some extent. Even if Rook isn’t too much of a fan favorite of mine, a lot of his card art is fantastic, but at the same time, give other characters a chance, you know? Especially the ones who haven’t had much at all, especially in a while. I hope that Kalim, Vil, and Rook get put on a bit of an SSR cool down. I’m not saying that they shouldn’t receive any cards at all, just have them be SR and R cards for a bit and focus on the characters who don’t have nearly as in much comparison. ❤️♦️♣️♠️ Sometimes there are months where I am both excited for the calendar in the Japanese and English version, but for July 2024, I feel like I’m more excited for the English server Calendar over the Japanese version. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been anticipating Book 7 to get to Scarabia, it’s amongst one of the dorms that I was looking forward to appearing in Book 7 (Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw will be the others), because I want to see Jamil‘s dream the most. The thing with the main updates, though, it’s a one and done kind of situation where once they release, that’s it. Then after that, it’s just an event rerun, and then Leona’s birthday, which I am also eagerly awaiting for, but not much else is happening beyond that. I am really wondering what is in store for August? ❤️♦️♣️♠️ Now, for the English server, Leona‘s hometown event is finally here! I’m SO EXCITED! It’s just frustrating that it is during Leona‘s birth month, but what are you gonna do, this wouldn’t be the first time the English server has ran an event during or close to the birth month of a character who is also the event SSR, and it probably won’t be the last, unfortunately. I am know that I am going to pull for Leona’s SSR and I am excited to receive the Vil freebie. Too bad he is an R card over an SR, though. I would’ve loved a Groovy illustration for Vil, but it is what it is. As for Leona’s birthday…I’ll have to see towards the end of the month. I don’t have any birthday Leona cards, unfortunately. If I can go for one at least, it’ll either be his Birthday Boy Suit Up one or his Bloom Broom one since I love those ones the most. I am leaning towards the Bloom Broom one. The Bloom Broom series of cards will remain my top favorite in the game. I’ll just have to see how far I can go with pulling for it, or if I can at all, when July 27th rolls around.

the Tomoe - Libra - Vil pipeline was so real for me (although instead of self-shipping i rather enjoy the dynamic of shipping him with an immortal/semi-immortal being like a dragon, fae or a genie, simply because someone falling for him, knowing he'll eventually pass and be outlived by his significant other is so tragic, and i can hardly imagine he would ever accept immortality even if offered, for the fear of irreversibly (and inevitably) changing into something he would never wish to become + one of my favourite traits of his, is his will to do and accomplish things by himself without relying too much on someone else, it is of course very important and valid to ask for help if needed, but putting him together with someone whose concept of life partly consists of fulfilling wishes or granting favors (for a price) to humans is just so entertaining) him fixing me would be nice of course (but giving him a tragic love is more fun) on another note, the one guy who got me into Twisted Wonderland was Idia specifically for his shiny fire hair (my neurodivergent brain went wooohooo cool long and shiny fire hair), so that assumption was spot on to be honest i never really liked Dr Facillier in the movie that much (although his song was catchy and the animation stunning), but Sam just scratched the itch of one of my favorite tropes (person having a supernatural-esque shop, think: The Magic of Chocolate, Pet Shop of Horrors, xxxHolic) and i feel like i could spend way too much time looking around (probably also getting lost) in his shop, a lover's shopping discount would be so amazing

Right from when we got the White Rabbit Fest back in April, I prophecized that Tamashina Mina would be pushed to July to capitalize on the Leona birthday hype. This would be similar to the Red Carpet Showcase for Vil's hometown being released in April, riding the hype for their birthday. The only thing I'm left wondering about now is what could possibly be in store for ENG in August, since the Stitch event came in June (I enjoyed it very much. Fellow creatures of chaos all getting along famously, and I was there for every second of it, even if I didn't draw Floyd or Lilia's SSR cards.) And now that July 2024 is taken care of, the room to speculate what Halloween 5 will be and whether the ENG server will get the special showcase for Rollo's SSR card come early Fall is now open!

Fun fun times. Third years getting saucy with each other as always. Throw in Idia for that and it’s a nightmare. Love mangoes, I like them in smoothies over bananas because bananas have a strong taste that block out all the other flavors. My least favorite food is flounder, just that particular fish. Deep down Leona does care about his family. He just wishes they’d see his point of view without vetoing them on the spot and at least give it a try. Lack of validation can make people really bitter.

I did the customary 300 gem 10-pull for this one since I wanted the Kalim card. I had done at least 25 pulls a piece for Floyd and Ace, and Riddle and Lilia, during the Stitch event and did not strike SSR gold. And wouldn't you know it? Just like with Master Chef/Culinary Crucible 9, I get the first major card for the showcase on the 7th pull and Leona's card (rank not factored in) on the 10th and last pull. Again, characters I hate just seem to fall into my lap according to the Gacha gods. Unlike with anything Sebek related (That guy is responsible for more than 33% of Lilia blue-balling me with the Dorm Uniform, General Lilia, and Tropical Wear Lilia cards I have been shelling out gems for in the past 6 months.), I will not say no to this card as it is SUPER GOOD Defense, sorely needed in future battles against dragons and Overblot monsters.

I really liked the video, I agree with most of the ratings. To Leona's point, I think that if they are right that Leona's disdain towards Cheka is because of her brother, because in the Playful land event, she never treated Gidel badly (who is a child only a little older than Cheka), So I think that Leona does not get along well with small and very imperactive children, but if he is a slightly older child (type of 8 years or older) and calm, he could get along well with them. Also, I have the headcanon that Leona's children would be very attached to Kifaji and would even call him "grandfather" since, to them, Kifaji is more of a grandfather than Leona's real father
For my account, I have my Yuu as a younger version of my OC to explore her personality from that stage in her life. The last thing she remembers before the carriage hits her is visiting the grave of her guardian, who she recently lost. Without that person, she's now all alone and hence her motivation for saving overblotted students is driven by "Not wanting to attend another funeral so soon..." But woo! Ramshackle Sleepovers!!! Ah, on another note. Leona hates wasting resources outside of food, right? In the original JP dub, he does gripe that Falena is just wasting water that can be used for the public on this fountain. He’s thinking progressively unlike most of his people. I respect that, bet he’s an avid supporter of recycling everything you can too.
How did they squeeze Lion Guard in here? Not complaining, I love that the show (proven canon to the movies by the way) is being represented in this event. Oh boy, putting on a sweaty battle for FUR-ina. This is the exact opposite of Fontaine 😂, I think that’s why the translators changed it to Falena to avoid copyrights. The Genshin community is the scariest group in the world 😰

53:50 I think I have an idea as to why they changed his name to Neji. Apparently Kifaji means food, while Neji means something like bosom companion or friend. XD The NA team probably didn't want to call him "food". Also, it makes me so happy to confirm that Leona cares about his people. He clearly wants the best for them but is misguided on what the best is. He's talking about going from one extreme to another when he should be looking for a balance. Lacking a solid infrastructure is no good, but neither is large scale mining.

You are very on point there about the name change for the character. Also because, this event takes place during the kid tv show Lion Guard and in one episode it gives backstory to Scar's past before he demise in the first movie. Sweet enough, in the backstory, Scar and Zazu used to be very good friends in the same way as Leona is with Kifaji/Neji. I do believe, JP name reflects the movie, while the EN reflects the kid's show. Which to me is a neat touch. On another point... the reasons why they changed the event title. Because most of it just translates to My Festival. But also, to the word Mina from the JP title, it can mean poa (just good) or pua (nose) but the really, really funny thing is that pua in English is slang for Pick-Up Artist. Definition is that someone, usually a man, that seeks to seduce and gain sexual success... sooo I know the EN translation team is trying fast to change the title to be more friendly in the end and I don't know why... that's just funny to me!XD Sorry for the ramble... I just wanted to share my own deep dive after finding out the event dropped and spot the differences for why.XD

So I saved and saved for this event. I had enough for 10 pulls. I thought surely this will do. First I pulled 5 times. Got Kalim, yay, but no Leona. Decided to do 5 more the next day. Next day and I did it 5 more times. I kept bloody getting Kalim after Kalim. Practically gave me him 7 more times. By the end I was ready to scream. Then I only had enough for 1 last pull. Another Kalim and card after card I was getting close to crying. Worked so hard so I wouldn’t have to pay for more diamonds. I didn’t want to think about what I would have to pay if I didn’t get him. Worst I wouldn’t have anything for his birthday and it would be all for naught. But the VERY LAST CARD I SAW GOLD SPARKLES. YES ON THE 100TH CARD LEONA CAME TO ME.🎉 To say I was yelling and jumping up and down is no exaggeration. He finally came to me. Am I mad that I spent 3000 diamonds and only got him once? Yes but I still got him and I’m thankful for that. OMG you got him TWICE? (Slaps hand to face.) I should have bribed him with lap pillow and ear scratches. 🎉 Congrats to you. Now I’m gonna spend time with my new sexy Leona. 🦁 Unfortunately, I won’t have enough for his birthday. But oh well. 😢😊

Since I was feeling a bit discouraged from Leona not showing up on the banner with the pulls I did, I was originally going to do more tomorrow when I was not. However I had a gut feeling to do another today. Whenever that happens, more often than not, it isn't without a reason. It is how I have nabbed SSR's I have wanted. So I did and was going to go from there. The Magic Mirror had an almost angry look on his face and exclaimed, REVEAL UNTO ME THE NATURE OF YOUR SOUL! I saw gold sparkles, which I always look out for. I knew it was an SSR. Please be Leona was all I was thinking. I tap the screen when seeing coffins without the fancy design waiting for one to show up. When one did, please be Leona was back on my mind. It wasn't. The color was Scarabia. I was discouraged again because I have not experienced more than one SSR showing up on a ten pull. So I remain tapping the screen just to be greeted with...LION GARB LEONA!!!!!! I WAS SO OVER THE MOON HAPPY!!!! And this is the first time I have had two SSR's show up like that!! It was a repeat copy of Jamil's dorm uniform card, but I was fine with it. I love him, too, and he is now uncapped by one. I guess he gave me luck seeing as how he is at Leona's hometown too. I really find their relationship fascinating, so I guess the game knows. LOL. Congratulations on getting him too!! I was just as happy as you!! The home screen outfit swap reactions of his are just the best!! Have a good rest of your day!

I also got pretty lucky with Leona’s card showing up in the first ten pull even though I was only trying to get Kalim lol It’s funny, I don’t particularly believe in the “gatcha rituals”, but I know some people put specific characters on their home screen to try to temp the SSR character to come home, and I literally had Rook of all people on my home screen today. (Not because I’m a Rook stan, I just cycle through all of my cards so the voice lines don’t get stale).

Ear scratches did really work. I should have waited for the tip. Congratulations! I tired to lure him with a guestroom that is a beach and has a grill full with meat. I didn't plan to go all out for this card because I wanted to have gems for the half anniversary, but by the time I have realized, I was in too deep with 50 pulls so I've continued. He came at 88. At that point I decided that I might as well use my single keys to get to 100. Leona appeared a second time on pull 95 and then also on 100. Boy took everything I had.
Congrats on Leona! I got so lucky. I originally was going to skip the banner but decided to give it a go and do one 10 pull. When I saw the SSR effect I got excited but it turned out to be Ortho but almost immediately SSR Leona showed up, along with SR Kalim in the 10 pull.
Leona took me to pity but I got him. I'm lucky Floyd and Lilia were kind to me during the stitch event and that allowed me to save enough gems for pity.

Sorry for sharing so late! Things are pretty crazy right now, but I still wanted to share! I am now convinced I am an outlier in the Twisted Wonderland community… Even though Crewel isn’t my personal favorite staff member, in the general sense, I love that the staff members are finally getting cards! It certainly beats only receiving voice lines and getting featured here and there in the main story and events, which does give us a bit more to work with/more time in the spotlight for them, but not a whole lot. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind owning all the staff member cards, even for the staff members I don’t really consider a favorite of mine because I find the cards really awesome. Trying for all of them depends on three things for me: 1. How many keys and gems I have once these cards come to the English version. 2. What may be happening before, during, or after the month the MAP event runs in the English. Chances are for the staff members that aren’t personal favorites, if there’s a banner I want to try for more, I’ll probably focus on that one instead of the staff member. 3. If the Gacha on the banner is kind to me. My personal favorite staff members would be Professor Trein and Sam, so I know that, if I am able to, I will definitely be trying for their cards when they come to the English version. I think I want Sam the most, though. Looking at the staff members lineup in the album, Sam is on the very end so he’ll probably be the last staff to get a card unfortunately. But at least Trein’s will be next. While on the topic of Sam, two things: 1. Something for Sam that would be pretty cool would be a Halloween event that takes place at his hometown, with lore from both the Princess and the Frog and the Haunted Mansion being incorporated throughout the story. Sam can accompany the students, perhaps? I’m honestly surprised the Halloween event like this has not happened yet. It would be perfect! 2. Before moving on from Sam, it really makes me wonder what the English version will do when his inevitable card makes its way over? Editing his sprite/in game character model is one thing, but editing his artwork from his future card is another. I hope they don’t because I won’t be pleased, honestly. I’m not sure how much I would want to pull for a card that’s been edited, even if I really want it. Fixing something that may be wrong is one thing, but completely removing something is another. Example: from what I understand when Silver’s Platinum Jacket Birthday Card first released in May of this year for the Japanese server, the initial groovy illustration at launch was missing his eye make up, so they issued an update or patch, where his eye make up was fixed or added. That I can understand. Wait a minute, what if the English version edits Sam in the fourth anniversary illustration, too? I really hope not…The only upside is that the Grim card’s for the anniversaries are free, so nothing will be spent to get them, unlike with Sam’s inevitable SSR card… ❤️♦️♣️♠️ Thank you so much for being amongst the fans that have noticed and mentioned how Cater is a part of one of the characters who has not seen an event SSR since October 2020!!! The only non-birthday non-event SSR he has been given since then would be his clubwear one, and that card is nearly approaching two years ago since its release. As a big fan of Cater, this drought for him is disappointing. I’m hoping to see something for him this year, before it ends, even if it isn’t an SSR, sadly, but it would be better than nothing at all… Jade is in a similar situation, and even though I don’t have a preference for Octavinelle as a whole, I feel bad for him too, and really sympathize with his fans. Hopefully when the Book 7 Octavinelle card releases, it goes to Jade over Floyd, but we’ll have to wait and see. Despite not having a preference for Octavinelle, I am going to be honest, if the Book 7 card is either Jade or Floyd in their merforms, that would be so cool! Jade’s clubwear card is the first non-birthday SSR he has received since October of 2020. It was surprising just to see him get that much, not so much for him getting a clubwear card (since it was obvious he would at some point), just that he was getting a non-birthday SSR at all. Speaking of Jade‘s clubwear card, even though I don’t have much of a preference for Malleus, either, I’m honestly surprised that he did not get his clubwear card this month, seeing as how they are duo magic partners, but I guess it could be because of what is happening this month. Back to the SSR card thing, though, it’s frustrating that this is happening to certain characters not receiving new SSR’s, both in general, and because there is a skew with some characters getting more attention-especially with SSR’s-over others. Some examples of characters that have a considerable amount of SSR cards up to this point in time would be Kalim, Vil, and Rook. Kalim has the most out of everyone, with Vil and Rook catching up. A part of me can’t complain about Vil, since he is a fan favorite of mine - nor Rook, to some extent. Even if Rook isn’t too much of a fan favorite of mine, a lot of his card art is fantastic, but at the same time, give other characters a chance, you know? Especially the ones who haven’t had much at all, especially in a while. I hope that Kalim, Vil, and Rook get put on a bit of an SSR cool down. I’m not saying that they shouldn’t receive any cards at all, just have them be SR and R cards for a bit and focus on the characters who don’t have nearly as in much comparison. ❤️♦️♣️♠️ Sometimes there are months where I am both excited for the calendar in the Japanese and English version, but for July 2024, I feel like I’m more excited for the English server Calendar over the Japanese version. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been anticipating Book 7 to get to Scarabia, it’s amongst one of the dorms that I was looking forward to appearing in Book 7 (Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw will be the others), because I want to see Jamil‘s dream the most. The thing with the main updates, though, it’s a one and done kind of situation where once they release, that’s it. Then after that, it’s just an event rerun, and then Leona’s birthday, which I am also eagerly awaiting for, but not much else is happening beyond that. I am really wondering what is in store for August? ❤️♦️♣️♠️ Now, for the English server, Leona‘s hometown event is finally here! I’m SO EXCITED! It’s just frustrating that it is during Leona‘s birth month, but what are you gonna do, this wouldn’t be the first time the English server has ran an event during or close to the birth month of a character who is also the event SSR, and it probably won’t be the last, unfortunately. I am know that I am going to pull for Leona’s SSR and I am excited to receive the Vil freebie. Too bad he is an R card over an SR, though. I would’ve loved a Groovy illustration for Vil, but it is what it is. As for Leona’s birthday…I’ll have to see towards the end of the month. I don’t have any birthday Leona cards, unfortunately. If I can go for one at least, it’ll either be his Birthday Boy Suit Up one or his Bloom Broom one since I love those ones the most. I am leaning towards the Bloom Broom one. The Bloom Broom series of cards will remain my top favorite in the game. I’ll just have to see how far I can go with pulling for it, or if I can at all, when July 27th rolls around.

the Tomoe - Libra - Vil pipeline was so real for me (although instead of self-shipping i rather enjoy the dynamic of shipping him with an immortal/semi-immortal being like a dragon, fae or a genie, simply because someone falling for him, knowing he'll eventually pass and be outlived by his significant other is so tragic, and i can hardly imagine he would ever accept immortality even if offered, for the fear of irreversibly (and inevitably) changing into something he would never wish to become + one of my favourite traits of his, is his will to do and accomplish things by himself without relying too much on someone else, it is of course very important and valid to ask for help if needed, but putting him together with someone whose concept of life partly consists of fulfilling wishes or granting favors (for a price) to humans is just so entertaining) him fixing me would be nice of course (but giving him a tragic love is more fun) on another note, the one guy who got me into Twisted Wonderland was Idia specifically for his shiny fire hair (my neurodivergent brain went wooohooo cool long and shiny fire hair), so that assumption was spot on to be honest i never really liked Dr Facillier in the movie that much (although his song was catchy and the animation stunning), but Sam just scratched the itch of one of my favorite tropes (person having a supernatural-esque shop, think: The Magic of Chocolate, Pet Shop of Horrors, xxxHolic) and i feel like i could spend way too much time looking around (probably also getting lost) in his shop, a lover's shopping discount would be so amazing
Right from when we got the White Rabbit Fest back in April, I prophecized that Tamashina Mina would be pushed to July to capitalize on the Leona birthday hype. This would be similar to the Red Carpet Showcase for Vil's hometown being released in April, riding the hype for their birthday. The only thing I'm left wondering about now is what could possibly be in store for ENG in August, since the Stitch event came in June (I enjoyed it very much. Fellow creatures of chaos all getting along famously, and I was there for every second of it, even if I didn't draw Floyd or Lilia's SSR cards.) And now that July 2024 is taken care of, the room to speculate what Halloween 5 will be and whether the ENG server will get the special showcase for Rollo's SSR card come early Fall is now open!
