    Another thank you for this, Long term fuel trims dropped from 12.5 to zero. Of course I did spark plugs ans wires while I was in there and kinda wish I'd done valve cover gaskets, but car runs bbetter than it has in a long time.

    Nice video.I have a 2001 montero xls and have a question. I recently changed the power steering fluid with "Prestone Power Steering Fluid Plus Stop Leak". I also saw online that some owners use "Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle Full Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid ". Do need to change the P/S fluid again or keep the one that I already used? Thanks.

    Just took my 2003 in for a diagnostic for p0171. They told me it’s probably an intake manifold tuning valve. Does that seem reasonable or would you think that this o-ring might be the root of the issue?

    Great video as always Owen. I'm about to change my Gen 2.5 trans mount this weekend. Since I am not changing the filter I thought I would support the transmission with a 2x4 and floor jack spreading the load across the pan. I can't really see in the video where you have the transmission supported with the jack while the mount is off. I'm looking in the FSM as well. . Where in the video is a good shot of the where the jack pad is supporting the transmission?

  • @owen_03montero
    @owen_03montero11 ай бұрын

    At the back of the transmission/tcase there is a little spot where you can support it with a jack. Hard to miss it it’s a square spot I believe

    The crankshaft turns twice for every turn of the camshaft. The timing marks on the crankshaft will move farther making it look like it's off .
