For over 30 years, the Durango Choral Society (DCS) has drawn singers from the Four Corners area interested in performing choral music. Our mission is to enhance the musical and cultural development of our community through the promotion and participation by the DCS members in musical programs for the benefit and enjoyment of the community.
Emphasis is placed on providing educational opportunities for both singing participants and audience members. The Durango Choral Society is a 100-voice choir of adult men and women. Two other choirs also perform under the auspices of the DCS: the Durango Women's Choir and the Durango Children's Chorale. We take special pride in showcasing our extraordinary hometown talent.
The Durango Choral Society is a Colorado nonprofit corporation. It is operated exclusively for those educational and charitable purposes permissible under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
