Oh no!
Oh no is right...what we thought was a good idea ended up wasting time and money. Until now, we have a real hot tub and loving it!
The thing I like about this video is that it's realistic, relatable and doable. Thanks!
Hi, do the plastic stoppers just stay in, or can they be removed?
They don't have to stay in and can be removed...at least ours can be removed.
Where did you get your blackstone insert
It was just a full size one from Walmart that I didn't put on the legs.
Great video. Do you think adding a ledger board between the brackets and the wall can work? I have a stucco + plywood wall. It is hard to find the studs behind the wall in the right position for the brackets.
Ledger board would work just fine as long as it's secured to the house.
I love it… but…did you paint the back wall facing the house? I am concerned about the siding breaking down years without paint protection from the build.
Well, I did not...the pieces have a primer on them and I didn't think to paint it. So far so good.
Hell from the uk I’d like to ask your advice please ….it’s actually about the retractable awning …..we had one put one up a week ago but there is a problem the rollers seem to be too high and causing the material to pucker both winding out and in so much so it looks like it will rip the material ……the only thing I noticed is it’s been put on over so past the bolts in the middle could this be the problem .going by how it looks I can’t see it making much difference it’s at the right height and angle looks just like all the ones iv watched on KZread but something is not right .have you any idea please thank you
Truthfully, I'm not certain. Ours does touch the fabric in the middle and hasn't caused any problems yet.
@@WhatWeDid365 ahh thank you my husband is going to adjust it some how because it’s definitely too high and it’s snagging the material …thanks for getting back to me 👍👍👍
Until how old? Trying to convince the hubby to make one for our little guy. 😂
Our kiddos are 9 and almost 8 and still use it with their friends. I suspect I've got a couple more years with it.
Glad to see you were getting better....you said you now started sleeping on the bed...where were you sleeping all this time and why couldn't you sleep in the bed from the start? Thank you sir.
It was just so uncomfortable to me to lay that flat...I slept more upright in a recliner for about a month.
@@WhatWeDid365 ahhh okay good to know..thank you.I'm gonna do this surgery in 3 weeks...
Glad ur driving and doing good. I had my aortic valve replaced seven weeks ago. I have had pain really since leaving the hospital. I pretty much do normal things, just don't go crazy. I was A simpatic so I don't need rehab I was told. I walk a mile and a half most every day with no issues. It was really not a big deal and pain was minimal, so I hope this helps people facing surgery. I wish u well and a long healthy and happy life! Thx for the video. I'm 72.
Thanks for watching and hope it helps some folks who may be going through or getting ready to go through something like this. Wish you the best as well!
Glad you are doing good too....are there some thing they don't suggest you do? Like travel? Thank you sir.
@@Nature_with_Peter_Kane Hey Peter, No they said I could travel not a problem. I'm going to wait till I'm three month mark and off post-op meds. Wish u well.
@@michaelwelch757 Thanks so much for the reply Michael. Wish you well also .
@@Nature_with_Peter_Kane It was no strenuous activity at the beginning, but wanted me to move around though with the therapy group - did a lot of bike riding and walking. Once I was through with therapy got the all clear for anything.
Good video.. what is the make and model of this one.. I installed a 10 x 8 that looks like the exact same instructions and parts as yours. I noticed that every time I roll it it up the fabric starts to bunch up in the center of the roller. Does your do the same?
Thanks for watching...I don't recall which make and model we purchased...it's been a minute or two or how about years now. The fabric bunched up slightly and I just had to adjust the front bar connections. After that everything has rolled up nicely ever since. I haven't touched it in three years now.
mines too was a birth defect, wow
Apparently us and Arnold Schwarzenegger!! Wish you the best.
Thanks for taking your time to make this video
Sure thing...the rest of the camping videos were moved to our other channel: www.youtube.com/@CampingandCoffee/featured
Can you share the product name and link please?
Hi there, thanks for watching...the link to the one we used is in the description.
They couldn't give me that crappy awning.... much better ones out there!
Thank you. T bolt instructions were poor. This video helped me a lot!!!
So hard to watch. Your cadence is difficult to stick with.
Nice job. I will do this. Thanks
I just bought this installed it today... straight garbage.. should've built one from scratch and I would've been happier
Professional awning installer here. Your front bar connections are misaligned. To correct this bring the awning approx 90% of the way in, loosen both front bar connections (not too far), adjust the position of the front bar centering it on the awning. With the front bar connections still loose, retract the awning all the way, then retighten the front bar connectors.
Walls are too close for the vents on the side of the grill. This isnt a great way to build the cutout for the grill.
Great video !
How did you do the flashing where the shed roof meets the house wall?
Just had to bend it a little...the shed sits roughly 1-1/2" from the house...thanks for watching!
do you think if you elevated the griddle slightly above countertop level it would dissipate the heat better?
No doubt in my mind that it would help to do that. With the heat coming from the sides, the closer to the surface the better.
What did you do for the grease trap in the back?
I put a couple of washers under the back feet and make it slope forward slightly then just clean and wipe down after use.
How did you do the doors?
I actually built them myself...unfortunately, they warped pretty bad during the first winter and I replaced them with black metal doors.
Hello can you provide a link for the exact same hot tub with the jets shown in your video
Love the video, thanks so much for the heads up about the centre roller and the adjustments to the front bar fixings, when I get to that bit it's gonna help a lot. My only question is, how in the name of all that's sane do you get the awning to slot into the main roller. We have tried for ages and have currently given up. The slot in the roller doesn't seem to be anything like wide or deep enough to accept the fabric with the cord in it???? It looks llike a good bit of kit apart from that but the frustration is tempting me to throw it somewhere! HELP!
thanks for the video. Makes me less nervous now
Any fading?
You can adjust the arms on the front bar in a way that it will retract completely. Get the awning out by roughly 1 foot and loosen the arm on the front bar and slide it so it ie even with the other one. Both elbows should be center ftont bar to square bar. Might take a couple of tries
It also eliminate that issue with the Fabric moving around. I would pull the fabric in the right spot and then adjust
Dang!!! Cannot STAND these videos where the talking is very quiet then suddenly WHAM the music BLARES out!!! Stopped watching because I had to constantly change volume!!! Can the DA@! music!!!!!!!
Sorry, had one section where I forgot my mics…appreciate the feedback.
Installing it won't be the problem Its the assembly thats gona kill me!!!
What about the grease drip pan
Yeah I was wondering about that. How/where did that end up being placed?
You were my inspiration to build something similar in my basement. I copied everything you showed here down to the nut and the washers. My kids love it and it’s their only activity in this Canadian winter. ❄️
Thanks, appreciate that!! Hope they get lots of use out of it...which I'm sure they will as ours still use it all the time!
Nice shirt
I am going to be getting this one next year I can't wait
Stupid video, waste of time.
I am thinking of purchasing one of these so I have a question. I see your soffit area is sloped, but if it was flat, how much room is required from the bottom of the brackets to the top of the fabric roll when retracted for installation? I have some height restrictions and can’t seem to find those dimensions, only length and projection.
Mine measures in at 7” from the bottom of the bracket to the top of the fabric.
Thank you for the info
There are soffit mount options so no worries about height restrictions.
I ordered one I’m hoping I can get it together right I been watching all kind of videos on it I should get it sometime this week thank you for the tips I’m from Louisiana I’m putting mine on a cargo trailer sure hope it goes good now I’m one of your followers
How do you drain your grease?
I actually sloped it forward using washers under the back feet and then wipe it clean afterwards.
Good build. I have these questions: 1. Did you anchor the floor or does it just sit floating on the ground (and could blow away in a windstorm)? 2. Did you anchor the shed to the house? Are the two touching? 3. How do the shed roof and back wall of the house meet? Is the shed connected or anchored to the house? Flashing used? 4. Is water rolling down the backside of the shed an issue?
Thanks for checking it out! 1. Floating on the ground/base rock...it has not moved even with some high winds we've had...it's got some weight to it. But could always use some forming stakes driven into the ground and then secured to the bottom frame. 2. The shed is not touching or anchored the house...has about 1-1/2" gap. 3. The roof does not touch the house, however, the drip edge does and I used a bit of flashing to help with water runoff - which answers part of #4. 4. It's possible there may be a bit of water running down the back from a rain storm, but the flashing against the house helps. Plus, the wind we get from time to time and having the gap would dry it out. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for giving me ideas.
Plans? Thanks
Sorry, no plans...I winged it.
what is the difference with the women model? they look very much alike
Sorry, I’m not sure but they look very similar.
I know this video is two years old, but I'm looking to build something for someone and I don't personally have a blackstone, do you know what the depth of the recess was for the blackstone without the legs?
Hello. Awesome set up. We are thinking of doing something similar in a 12x12 room. About how large is this area? Thank you!
Thanks...they're hanging in a 10' wide x about 12'...you should be able to make that happen.
Any reason those obstacles are not directly hang from the joist, while carefully checking your video they are all hanging from additional 2X4 stud screwed to the floor joist?
I ended up using the 2x4's screwed to the floor joist so I could use the bolts with washers and for certain spacing of the obstacles. So far so good with nothing falling so far!
Thanks @@WhatWeDid365 for your feedback, 2 x 4 are screwed to the joist assume at each obstacle spacing. Further to screw the stud what screws need to be used and can that 2 x 4 stud be directly screwed on the bottom flage of the I joist of the basement ceiling? Appreciate for your comments and guidance
@@ndusa07 I used 4 - 4” screws for each of the 2x4’s…with the exception of the longer board that has 2-4” screws at each floor joist location.
Thanks however construction screws not working for our 2×4
@@WhatWeDid365 as said earlier construction screws #10 x 3-1/2" didn't work for us with 2 X 6 stud. Email you too, do advise with your comments. Thanks
The roller guide I did the same thing and I noticed its because of a design change they used to be like the end roller supports where they are open on one side with the bolt removed.
Thanks for the input I'm currently putting up a 10 foot and a 20ft for my Aunt.
This is amazing. Donyiu mind giving the link for the ninja one and the bkue one please?
Hi Remya...the links are in the description at the top...thanks!
