Hey Jesse, what's up with the Jags? I'm almost done rebuilding my XJ40, after I hit a deer on the highway.

Hey Alexandre The Jags have been driving great! The Series 3 needs the AC fixed, and the XJR6 could use a paint job and a new windshield. Glad to hear you're almost done with your XJ40 and didn’t give up on it. Hitting a deer must have been crazy ! Hope your okay

@@XJJesse Thank you! I'm all fine, but it did broke the bonnet, a rectangle light, the grille and the right fender. I got parts from the junkyard and painted it myself. With good quality 2k clear coat, I'm sure your bonnet would look amazing, as mine did!

Helpful video! Here's an important tip tho: there's an ACCESS PANEL behind the pass side wheel that makes it easier 2get2 the lower bolts (i have a '93 4.9; the 4.5 shld be similar). Remove the pulley bolts by jamming a screwdriver (etc) thru it to keep it from turning, then let it hang there. It will come off later when you unbolt the pump. This SHOULD eliminate the need to raise the engine but the 4.5 may be slightly different. Dont forget to transfer the pulley to the new pump BEFORE u rebolt that to the engine. The torx screws are no biggie; they're not on tight. Be careful with those 13 little screws (10mm) he mentions; they are ez to drop! Btw: after ur done, refill the coolant thru the thermostat housing, NOT the radiator cap; this prevents air binding. Good luck. Thx again guy for the video😊

Hey Jesse, great video. I think I may have an intermittent bad switch like you showed in the video. Is it possible that there's a schrader valve under where it connects so you can replace it without removing the Freon? I saw a video for another vehicle where that is the case. I took a look at one for sale on ebay and it's hard to tell but it looked like there was a center pin on the switch to pust in the valve stem.

People in the uk and Europe don't understand why Americans say jaguars are difficult and have engine failures. We just don't have these issues. I can only assume we look after our cars better becsusd we have annual government inspection so cars have to be maintained or they will not pass inspection mot fail means cars cannot be driven until fixed and retested.

I just got a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis for a couple of reasons one of which being I have been seeing that that car is one of the easiest to keep running as most of the parts are out there easy to access. I'm not a mechanic at all but would like to learn and it seems this car is the easiest on which to learn. I stumbled onto your videos when looking at tutorials.

If I'm hearing a squealing noise from the pulley. Only when I turn the AC on, would that mean a faulty pulley, bearing, or compressor? And is it possible to just replace the pulley without replacing the compressor?
