Great tip!!! Thanks!!!
Thanks for the share
Left side scan won't work through the motor😂
Man I could really use some help. We just got an older 1988 ranger 393v. I also have a lowrance eagle 9 triple shot. The issue I'm having and maybe I'm not using the correct vocabulary is, that it's a step hull and also a V hull. I don't have space to mount it at the very bottom by the live well drains. I have tried putting it in several places and I can't seems to get a really clear reading like the display model or if I do, I have to have a ton of settings on and I don't feel like I'm properly marking fish. It seems that at slower speeds the display is really cluttered ... However at speed and even on plane the display looks more like the store display than anything else. I'm really confused. I wish I had someone's contact page or email I could send a picture of the boat set up for some advice.nat the moment mine is mounted to the back of the boat further left of the motor and just about even w the.bottom of the first step
Hi there, Send me a couple of photos and I’ll see if I can be of assistance facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063484214919&mibextid=LQQJ4d
Great info Brian thankyou never thought of it that way 👍
No problem Peter appreciate the comment
Excellent stuff. Thank you from Atlantic City USA!
Lanolin! I hadn't thought of that one. Good idea. Thanks. 👍
Great idea
Hi master from Mesa Az..
Nice setup. I've always just used heavy duty 2" commercial ratchet straps for the same purpose. I cut a couple down to use at the transom also because they have higher working loads compared to 'heavy duty' purpose made transom straps. I have a 30' express cruiser I drag 2 hours to get to the lake and a lot of bad drivers in the area so the better my boat is tied to the trailer, the better chance I'll have if forced to do any emergency maneuvers while pulling it. The regular bow eye safety chain is always the very last thing to get disconnected and the first to get reconnected when the boat is in the water. No chance of the boat sliding off the back of the trailer on the relatively long and steep public boat ramp at the lake. It's a big, heavy boat on carpeted bunks so it's very unlikely it would be able to slide, but always better safe than sorry. Thanks for sharing your great setup!
does it read motor on sidescan?
There is always some engine interference on that side. Some guys mount them on the keel to suit their fishing style
Nice and clear, straight forward and answered the question I have been looking for - for days now, cheers mate
Thanks for the content, im just learning
Fantastic video. I'm not usually a big quinnie fan but i've always liked the look of the fishseeker and contemplated a similar refit on one. Well done!
Cool! Thanks 😃
I've always wondered why more people don't convert those bowriders into a fishing beast like what you've done. The bowriders seem to be cheaper second hand than a fishing boat. Good conversion.
You’ve got to love that windscreen on a cold morning or when it’s raining
@@BriansBoatingandoutdoors Possible to remove the port side console without much work?
I have a battery box that has 4 Anderson plugs with 50amp breakers, there's also a 175am Anderson plug that has no fuses, should I add one or will the inverter I plug into it have its own fuse?
Hi The 175 amp plug is usually a jump starter. I haven’t seen an inverter plug into the 175 plug 🤔 that’s a big inverter
Great vid again Brian . Is there a video of the transom finished . And are you interested in working on a new Fishseeker 600? .
"Promosm"
Sweet ride
Your video is awesome
Great tip!
I’ve got an 1850 Stabi CC Brian there is absolutely no room to work inside the bloody console, great effort Cheers from down Sth
Nice job Cheers from down South
Where did you get the under floor tank from, Ive got a fish seeker that I want to put one in?
It is actually a Formosa tank but there is a place in Victoria that you can order tanks online which are pretty close to that size
@@BriansBoatingandoutdoors Thanks Brian
Looks wicked mate! Did you make the mounts for the bait board too?
Yes had to custom those so the fuel tank hatches would still open easily
Great video. Did you film the rest of the job? Keen to see how the rear came up. I've got a 6m fishseeker that I'm getting similar work done to.
Hi Mandy, I did and I’ll get that video up. If you find my Facebook page ‘Brian’s Boating and Outdoors’ and message me I can send you some photos of the transom
So worth it Mandy, has totally changed the feel of the boat.
awesome
Had any dramas with the weight all on that one side when driving mate??
No Aaron, lithium batteries are less than 10kg each so it’s balanced out with the Minn Kota. The actual boat handling has improved with the overall weight increase with everything added.
Love the fresh water wash idea. Is that just a 3 way tap?
Yes mate I plumbed into the live tank well hose for the salt and the new tank for the fresh. I’ll be doing my own boat the same next time I bring it into the workshop
@@BriansBoatingandoutdoors great way to flush clean water through the pump at the end of a trip too!
Where r u located?
I’m on Ereton Drive Arundel Gold Coast Qld
Hey mate, absolutely love the fish seeker video. Lots of great info. It appears to be set to kids mode though so it can’t be added to a saved play list or commented on. Not sure if you know that. Looking forward to more vids. Cheers
Thanks mate I think I’ve sorted that. The big Fishseeker has been back again for a motor splash well and anchor well hatch but I’m sure he will be back again. Thanks for the comment. Brian
All I hear is come on come on come on come on ooooohhhhh fuck ya 🤣
Pretty much 🤣😂🤣😂 can be a really relaxing hobby 🤣😂
Beautiful area, the sand isn't too hard to drive on
No it’s easy if you drive to conditions and let the air pressure out of your tyres
@@BriansBoatingandoutdoors For sure
Thanks mate just bought a Prado never been to Bribie so any tips are great good vid
Hi Scott Are you camping or just going for the day? It is an easy beach to navigate and I always let my tyres down to avoid having to do it on the beach. Some really nice spots to park along the beach as you head north. And there is the old fort at the top of the island for some sight seeing. Where are you based? Brian
