Hi Otto. Can you give some advice. When I push up and down simultaneously it does jog. What to do?
Can either of the devices be voice controlled to open blinds like 50%?
Can I control all my blinds with the tahoma switch mobil app if am in another country??
You can see and buy the Somfy setting cable here: tromm.com/int/universal-adjustment-cable-for-lt-wt-rts-motors.html
Thank you for the video. As far as I understand it, the connectivity kit can be integrated in Home Assistant. So one should be able run different scenarios via HA then.
Thanks. I don’t get into programming mode. When I press up and down. The blind will continues move if I press down button.
so does the Connectivity Kit do the same thing as the RTS but without needing access to the electrical panel or sockets?
Due to the IO technology only available in Europe. Available from stock here: tromm.com/int/somfy-solarkit-rs100-io-20-12.html
Does anyone know how to simply make the remote work with the awning it was programmed for when it suddenly stops working with it? It's clearly not a battery issue, the one to four red lights still come on. Speaking of which, those red lights are a mystery. Sometimes there's one and sometimes there's four - sometimes they blink and sometimes they don't. We don't know whether there are ever two or three red lights. I have not been able to find an instruction manual anywhere that explains those lights or their button.
Nice breakdown! Thank you! is the connectivity kit available to purchase in the USA?
No, unfortunately, it isn't. The IO signal is on a frequency that's not allowed for commercial use by the FCC
Hi, i have a somfy terrace awning with a led stripe controlled by the somfy remote control (on off and dimmer). Is possible to control this led with Conectivity kit or I will need the tahoma? Thanks. 😊
Once the IO moter is reset, how do I add a new remote without turning off and on the power ?
If both can add the curtains to google home, you can also use google home for automatization of curtains for example? Because that would eliminate the benefit of the tahoma switch for me personally
Can anyone confirm this? :-)
@@Vandophoto yes I’m doing this with HomeKit.
Hey Koen, did itwork, because i also think in thatcase i won’t need the tahoma switch. I find this a bit surprising because all the experts say you would need the tahoma switch for time relative control!
@@robinlenaerts3443 don’t Listen to all these experts, I can Time control my 4 rs100 io with my iPhone using HomeKit and I have the connectivity kit only
@@robinlenaerts3443 I bought one biut still have to set it up. Waiting on an electrician to add a plug where I need it. I’ll post my experience here afterwards
Do I need physical access to the motors (which are 7 meters high and unreachable in my case) ? I hope there's a way to map the motors to Connectivity Kit using the RTS remotes.
No, you don't need physical access. Pairing is done via the remotes, so it shouldn't be any problem to connect your blinds.
Thanks a lot for this video, I was scratching my head since long deciding do I need both, or any one would do. Thanks again.
Does automations work with Apple Homekit or Alexa with the connection kit?
Yes this would be interesting to know for me as well. Could you do time control etc as well via HomeKit and control it via the connectivity kit?
yes, you can pair the connectivity kit with apple homekit etc
I have the connectivity kit. I am unable to see my RTS devices on the home app despite being identified and linked to tahoma app / connectivity kit. Not sure what am I missing here..
@@mangouriskyRTS does not work with HomeKit, only IO
Thanks. I currently have a connexoon. Should I get a connectivity kit?
No, you have the timer / auto scenario functionality with the connexoon. The connectivity kit will be a step down
Can you please make a video on the Somfy connectivity kit? Model number 1870755.
No problem - we'll shoot it this week, so will be up on the channel by the end of this week / early next week
The remote that you used? Is it the one with the touch buttons or physical ones? I have one that has touch buttons can I do this procedure with it?
Yes, it should be possible, but it could take a few tries, as the touch version is very sensitive, so it might be difficult to press them at the exact same time. The one I used in the video is the one with the physical buttons, not the touch version
@@ottotromm thnx for your fast reply!
Does this procedure also work for an RTS motor?
No, unfortunately - it does not. Just for the RS100 IO
Now I learn how to program sumfy remote...thanks your video.
Thanks!
Thank you for the tip - much appreciated!
Nice clear instructions….nice not to hear “ whats up guys” at the start of the video 🙄…..thank you

Sir your videos are very helpful. Thank you very much.
thanks a lot, this was very helpful!
Thanks so much!
Awesome tip! Saved my day
You are a lifesaver! Thank you very much.
Thanks. I was looking for that kind of video.
Thank you - finally I got the blind back were I want it. Have A Nice Day.
Random comment. Is there a way to raise somfy oximo io blinds without a remote? The housing agency I live in took away the remotes for technical issues and my blinds are stuck in down position. I can’t sleep when it’s windy because they bang on the window really loud. I would appreciate your help.
Sorry for the late reply, but no, there's no way to raise them without the remote.
Thanks, great help....!!!!
This video just saved my butt. I don’t sell Somfy and this job was a takeover. Your video taught me the correct way to reset and program. Thank you so much.
Thank you. Clear, helpfull & to the point!
Awesome and thorough instructions! Thank you
A great lesson that saved me €150.Thank you.
Thank you. I was concerned to why my motor was getting so hot but that is normal so you are saying. Cheerts
Thank you for a very clear and informational video. Brilliant
Note to you and others that was crucial to succeeding with the reset. Another video you made is the only of yours and others I’ve seen that mentions this “extra” step that’s not mentioned in the factory directions. Step 7 on factory directions states hold the program button until the motor jogs and then proceed to step 8. ***DO NOT RELEASE the program button after it jogs as it states. CONTINUE HOLDING for about another 8 seconds until it jogs a second time. Proceed to the next direction steps as stated and I hope your aggravations end as did mine. But I then had to reset the range. Easy: go to each desired end press both the my and direction, hold for a few seconds. Repeat opposite end. Next, Press and hold the program button until it jogs.
Very helpful, many thanks Otto
Thank you for the tutorial! Works great.
To be able to control ikea products via this is great
Hi. I'm slightly confufsed by this and the 'adjust bottom' video. Both seems to follow the same steps, so how does the motor know that you are setting either the top or bottom position? In the original set up you needed to press the Middle and Up at the same time to set the bottom position. Thanks in advance
Hi, the procedure is indeed very similar -> make the shutter roll to the lowest or highest position, press up and down simultaneously and hold until the motor jogs. Move to desiered position, press and hold "my" until the jog. That's it. But, only possible when: - motor has been programmed manually - lowest or highest position can be reached hope this helps..
Have you heard anything about support ending for the Tahoma 2.0? I'm about to look at ordering a Tahoma and I'd rather have the 2.0 with Ethernet but also don't want to be spending money on something that's due to be end-of-life.
Hi Richard, I have not heard anything about support ending for the 2.0 I do know that there 's no new supply of them, so if you want it, I'd suggest getting it as soon as possible. Supplies will run out.
@@motoriseit Does the new tahoma not have an ethernet port anymore? That would be a disadvantage if the wifi doesn't work then nothing works anymore.
My roller shutter is 3.5 m wide so does that mean my motor is too?
No,the motors have a fixed length and are about 60 cm max in length
This video is awesome! It saved me having to buy a new blind for $$$. Thank you so much.
