On my maternal grandfather's funeral day, this song didn't go out of my head. He was a soldier who fought in the Korean War and lost his brother in the war. Rest in peace. we miss you..

Yes! I can feel the steam connecting rods and drivers smoothly moving on that train. It has got to Roll and this version does. This is a Wonderful soft version of the Duke Ellington Classic.❤ So many copies are not capturing the spirit.

if we are to believe what people say about black history, what's the story behind this music video? Honestly confused.

What 'progress' has been made exactly? I think these days if a black man dressed well and sang this kind of music, his entire community would shame him for being 'white' and 'a fag'

John junior had died in the thirties being replaced by his father John senior (extreme right) and I believe Harry was on war service at this time, so only 2 of the original “ four boys and a guitar. Harry’s stand in has a lovely voice and does well on this recording, I don’t know his name or how long he stood in for.

This is such a great song. The lyrics are fantastic! Very meaningful. I actually like The Mill's Brothers 1958 recording of this song. Greatest slow dance song ever.
