I was curious if you could cut the airbox off in situ and now I know you can! I'm doing a top mount at the moment. What was the Audi MAF fitting? Do you have a source vehicle or part number??

Hi there, I'm currently looking for a manual box for my Defender Conversion, but I see there are 2 different bellhouses, small and large. Any idea which I need for the m57 out of a 2002 x5. Thanks.
You need the one out of a 330d e46 of a 204 bhp engine I don’t know on size sorry

I'm sure you can get it from the ecu signal wire
Doesnt the housing for the maf sensor need to be the same effective diameter as the m57 one so that it reads the air mas accuratly?
It is the same in side that is all that betters I have been driving my truck all week with know issues

i am putting the six speed auto in mine to go with x5 engine is there anything special i need to know ? i am gonna pick the harness to buts and get out what i need not gonna cut any of the cables until i get it running in my defender then shorten if needed
No bud it is pretty straightforward if you know your way around a vehicle you should be fine. You won’t need to shorten the loom the l322 looms are longer if you need more length
@@MisfitsGarageUK it's an X5 am pulling the loom out of not wasting my money buying one of these stand alone harnesses ,I am quite clued up with auto electrics I was just thinking how the gearbox gets it's signal I am assuming it's can bus

I am glad my videos are some help. You won’t get the rev counter work as it runs of a different frequency you will need it aftermarket rev counter
what did you do for engine mounts was it previously a 300 tdi
It was a 200tdi I made new ones for chassis and engine. there is kits out there look on synchro gearboxes website I am sure they do some
@@MisfitsGarageUK I can make myself wouldn't pay them the stupid amounts of money they want to supply them same as the air operated hi and low diff lock you can buy for 400 quid cost me 50 for the lot and some extra stuff lol all these people buying stand alone harnesses I've got the full diagram so you can just use the original harness without paying crazy money they want over 400 quid for an auto one f that will use original one and pick out what I need I was an auto leccy in a former life
