Hania Rani is another great musician from Poland, working in a Polish tradition, together with many old famous polish composers. I think her music is minimalistic, like for example Philip Glass, but she expands this minimalism to maximalism sometimes. Still the roots of her music in growing in a minimalistic soil. Even if she here confesses that also for example Chopin is a part of her background. Thank you for this interesting interview!

I'm seriously in such an awe since I found about her two or three weeks ago. I'm Portuguese and this is one of the most interesting projects I've heard coming from here in years. We usually either go full traditional or completely emulating what is done outside. Rarely there's this kind of evolution of Portuguese music.

Hania is an amazing composer and musician, and delightfully unpretentious, transparent and open. I've been entranced by her work since I first found out about her after watching her NPR tiny desk concert. I'm looking forward to what she'll be doing in the future.
