You made it look so easy,so I'm going to try it, I've always hade a hard time with pastel type colors give me earth tones and I can go crazy with it. It's why I love painting nurgle.

I liked how you did the model. Similar to what I am doing in some areas, but I switched the fur to be a desaturated pink and the skin was more charcoal grey.

If you're after some editing advice; - Use slower-more gradual transitions (easier on the audience's eyes). - Avoid fading to black unless you're trying to indicate a long period of time has elapsed (eg, days-weeks). - bgm is solid, no issues there & the voice-over is great. - If you're using a 'fade to black' transition, use a fade-in transition afterwards for the next piece of footage as it can be jarring to watch otherwise. - Having the names of the paints is great but having a png image of the paint pots used as a tally at the bottom would be great too, that way people can see a visual representation of all the paints needed to achieve the same results. Beautiful paintwork, man. Little tip, to save you wasting black paint on doing the trim of the bases, you cna cheat by using a black marker pen instead. Thanks for the shout-out, man. Wonderful vid

Next time I'm in the hang out I'll talk to you about the transitions. Having a list of all the paints I use is a great idea I'll look at that for the next one, might save me the effort of typing them in on each shot!

Do you ever have a problem with the speed paints reactivating?

  • @Gentleman_Jim

Not with Contrast Paints! but the first range of Army Painter speed paints would reactivate. Im sure their second range had that fixed though

  • @Nicho9

I was very close to getting them but glad i put it off! But GWs Contrast come back was great, i grabbed a few of those newer paints and all of them have been fantastic.

Jim, this is incredible! That finished model is properly stunning, and you've got that Bob Ross knack of pulling it all together at the end of each step. The video was so relaxing to watch, and your commentary was perfectly concise, that was very well written. How long until you get a Golden Demon award?
