  Same here. I took a needle and pushed opposing pins in the female DIN connector against each other so they make a better contact with the male pins. Seems to work but probably not very longterm solution.

  Excellent work, It is possible to replace the Dell Inspiron E1705 motherboard and processor with another superior motherboard and also a more current processor, perhaps I7, I would appreciate your help on this issue

  What sorts of geometries and or other properties of the workpiece would for example require a resonant frequency of 10kHz and beyond for efficient heating?

  Hello Rice, I am having difficulty trying to derive the transfer function from both state equations in terms of Vc/Q (Capacitor voltage over duty cycle). I can't seem to separate terms with Vc and Q on either side of the equation. Is Vc and Q separable? If so what would be the transfer function Vc/Q?

  The first step in service is to try the unit, then solve the most obvious problems. You didn't have to take it apart. Also, never force anything (pulling the foil off). I also notice the PCB for your regulator could have been made to fit without damaging the battery compartment. One suggestion would have been to simply use the correct power supply type, or put the regulator inside the power supply. Never modify something if you can avoid it. I know this is a late comment, but maybe others will think before making changes first.

  What do you think is wrong if even after replacing the control box, the light sometimes will respond to touches but sometimes does not?

  I have an old touch lamp and the connectivity between the touch sensor wire and the body of the lamp is poor, I think because the metal finish is degraded. Your issue sounds similar.

  Same problem here.... It was a nice surprise finding out I wasnt alone. Couldn't find those CUI connectors in UK but Lumberg are also good so I went for Lumberg Equivalent (6 pin DIN KFV 60 (socket 18mm hole), SV 60 (plug) and it works perfectly. Super pleased

  I've been having the very same issue with my Hakko 888D. Couldn't find it mentioned anywhere on their website or in their guidance. It is clearly a weak point in the design. This is a good fix. Thanks for sharing!

  Great job, wow I was looking for a video like this on KZread, my screw driver also slipped and hit the top 2 ic chip, both left and the right one not the bottom one, is the ic EMIF04-1K030F3 the same as the other top 2 ic so I can order them? Thanks
