My name is Mike and I retired from Fort Bragg after being stationed there for 20 years. I created this channel to show people who are moving to Fort Liberty and/ or Fayetteville what this place and the surrounding areas have to offer. However, this channel has now turned into a VLOG about my travel and sightseeing as I make my move to Orlando, Florida. I will still have different theme park content because I always love visiting a theme park, and of course I will take you along on my cruises, but now my goal is to introduce the great state of Florida to you and maybe I can show you some great places to visit on vacation. I feel fortunate to live where other people vacation.

Had ours since January. The Disney100 isn't a Start screen but a "Welcome" Screen. Only works when the car is locked and sitting for a bit, then you open the door and close the door and it'll run music with the animation. Still kinda bummed they didn't do special music on the way out (it sounds like default Ioniq 5 stuff?). After seeing the screens on the concept car I was skeptical of them making production considering how expensive they would be to replace and just how hard it would be to get this approved in all 50 states with how they handle vehicle animation/screen effects. My biggest bummer is lack of moonroof effects since those could have just been a decal. Honestly I'm more annoyed that they flaunted the "concept" knowing full well they weren't going to be able to run the high impact fireworks effects. This is a Limited Ioniq 5 with a $20,000 (because dealers WILL mark this up for "exclusivity", ours did and their second one was marked up $20k) software gimmick, tacked-on leather embossing, unique interior coloring complete with almost literally tacked on Disney details, and special rims. Hyundai was so desperate to fill out the spec sheet they decided they'd make the "H" badges black without anything special done with them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the car, but it's a box of gimmicks that "elevate" it over a regular Hyundai Limited. It still has the glaring issues of dated tech features like USB-A charging and wired-only Android Auto/Apple Carplay (no wireless). All this on the heels of the new N line they'll be releasing for the 2025 model year.

Chris Bledsoe brought me here. Chris lives right on the Hope Mills Lake and has recorded hundreds of orbs/UFO’s. He’s actually a conduit for these beautiful anomaly’s in the sky/water. These orbs have healed Chris of serious life threatening biological issues within his body. I’m interested in seeing this first hand and have been considering moving down from Michigan just for this incredible opportunity to experience it for myself. I would say that Fayetteville is a dangerous city in certain areas, just like any city. Personally, I feel that crime and murders are going up. Before I moved, it seemed like there was always a murder in the news. And there is definitely racial tension, just look to when people tried to burn down the market house a few years ago.
@@HangingOutWithMike TY for your info. In every countries news there are always crime news on the tv, thinking that there are millions living there. I would like to know your experience. How long did you live there and how many crimes did you witness?
I lived there for 22 years. The only crimes I witnessed first hand were fights, but the news and social media covered the attempt to burn down a historical landmark followed by the looting of the mall, walmart, etc. However, look at social media and the news at flipped over cars daily from reckless driving, murders, brazen thefts in daylight, etc.

It was my first time doing something like this so I wasn't sure if the robot would have been able to pick up the wire if it was buried.

DO NOT GO SWIMMING WITH THE PIGS THERE THINKING THERE IS NO CONSEQUENCES My wife and I went swimming with the pigs on Valentine’s Day 2024 in Nassau. 2 days later she got a small bump on her thighs. She started throwing up everything she ate and drank. We went to a local clinic that juiced her up with antibiotics and sent us home. Luckily we returned to Boston the next day and went to clinic in Dedham. They did blood work and saw she had a blood infection. Then was transferred to Faulkner, then transferred again to then bigger hospital @ BWH. She was sent to surgery and things went south. There she was induced in coma because her white blood cells kept going up and they couldn’t find the right antibiotics to treat her with. She was in intensive care for 4 days on 14 different I.V. and made it thank GOD. DO NOT GO THERE, IT MIGHT BECOME A BADDD EXPERIENCE.
Did she catch an infection from the pigs? Did the doctors ever figure out what it was? I'm sorry that happened to your wife but I'm glad that she made it.

How do you know how long to set the run times for?
It only cuts a little bit each time so I would run it from 12 (noon) to about 8 pm each day. I wanted the grass to be dry so that is why I started it a little later. In North Carolina, if I didn't run it everyday, it would fall behind. It actually only runs for about 2-3 hours and then has to come back and charge for an hour and go back out so it isn't a constant 8 hours for me. I would just experiment and see what works best for your yard.

It is fun and a good way to explore Galaxy's Edge while getting some steps in.
I have a Disney 100 and am disappointed that the fireworks on the front LCD didn't make it into the production model; same with the pixie dust on the moonroof. The two items my wife and I were most excited about were left out. A buddy that is an engineer at Tesla thinks that Hyundai could release a software update to get the fireworks on the front, however it still disappointing that it was not messaged prior to delivery. The Disney welcome screen on the inside displays randomly when I enter the car. I have not figured out the steps to get it to always display. I wish they would have included more Disney items in the car. Something like Mickey Mouse greeting you would have been awesome. Oh well... It's my first electric car and it has been a joy to drive.
I was disappointed about the fireworks and pixie dust, too. As far as the welcome screen display, the car I was in played Sorcerer Mickey every time I turned the car off. I tried looking for a setting to change it to when I got in, but couldn't locate it during my test drive.

I’m looking into Carnival Elation for my first cruise. I’m going alone and wondering if I would feel left out. It is good to see your point of view.
I don't think you will feel left out. Carnival does single meet and greets everyday as well as shows, trivia, and games. Everybody is friendly so it's easy to strike up a conversation while on the ship. And if you do an excursion, then that provides more opportunities to meet people. I've done cruises solo when I had the "Cheers" package and without and I always ended up making friends.

I did not take pictures, just videos. I did do a day by day video, but the big parties on my cruise were the Sail Away party on Day 1 (of course), Day 2 was the White Hot Party, Day 4 was the Tiki Party, and Day 6 was the Mardi Gras Celebration and 80's Party.

Went to Junkanoo Beach n Starbucks too! 😅 sucks we didnt get to go to Princess Cays, just glad I wasn't on them tender boats that got stuck in the choppy water... Overall it was an Amazing experience! Alrdy booked for Cozumel on V-Day 2025 w the Gf if she comes this time!! 😊😅
I missed the guy in the Black and Gold suit, I but that was a suit worthy of KZread, hahaha. The whole trip was fun and, to be honest, you didn't miss out on much on Princess Cays, in my opinion. It's great to relax and lay by the water, but I like to go explore. Cozumel is definitely a top port for me, and to go on V-Day with your GF will be an awesome time.
They should have really done it up. It's very underwhelming. Anyone that would want a Disney edition would want it to have a lot of extra styling. They missed the mark.

Me too. I think the fireworks would have been awesome, of course until a rock comes up and cracks the LED screen. Overall, it's still a nice car and the touches are subtle, but definitely Disney.

I bought the one in gainesville, bummed about no light on roof. I have not seen the fireworks on black panel by the headlights . It had good upgrade features compared to my 2022 ionic 5
I was hoping for the fireworks in the front too, but they didn't make it to the final production. The "fairy dust" etched sunroom would have been a cool feature as well, but I would imagine it would be impossible to replace if it broke. Overall, I liked the vehicle but the Disney touches just didn't "WOW" me enough to buy it.

You almost got under your car lol. I'll fill in the blanks. Kia is part of the Hyundai auto group, so there is no skid plate, just a weak plastic cover. Run over a broken muffler or a big chunk of ice and your fancy ev will possibly be bricked as the batteries are fragile. In Canada its $60,000 to replace in the states approximately $50,000 verified by Hyundai Canada. So as long as you never ever , ever hit anything or drive over a chunk of ice or a muffler falls off a vehicle in front of you, you'll be fine.
$50K? At that point, you might as well just get a new car. Thanks for the info.

My first time on Elation is 10 OCT - 14 OCT 2024
Have fun! It's a great ship to start with. My first cruise was the Paradise, which is Elation's sister ship. Even though it is the smallest ship, it never felt crowded, unless you wanted to go in the pool. There is only 1 pool on this ship so needless to say, it was always full.
