  Drunk Lan Zhan is so cute! He stopped being bothered by Wei Ying's teasing with the headband since he decided WY was his significant other (also, how dumbo was WY for so damn long, he clearly loves LZ but instead of properly expressing his feelings, he teases him, no wonder XC was so mad at him Q_Q)

  I disagree. Back in their first life, Wei Ying teased Lan Zhan, but it was only to encourage him to loosen up, have fun and be his friend. But Lan Zhan rejected every advance he made prior to the Sunshot Campaign, and when he wanted to show he cared, Lan Zhan always miscommunicated, so Wei Ying thought Lan Zhan hated him. And by the time he properly confessed, it was too late. Wei Ying’s mind was gone, and then he died. And all Lan Zhan had was regret for not standing by Wei Ying when he needed someone the most. Flash Forward 13 years: Lan Zhan realizes that Mo Xuanyu was the reincarnated Wei Ying, so he decided to do what he failed to do before: protect and stand by him no matter what. But Wei Ying, who lost significant parts of his final memories due to overexposure to dark cultivation, doesn’t remember what happened after the Bloodbath at Nightless City (aka Lan Zhan’s love confession). He only remembers how he and Lan Zhan were (from his perspective) always at odds, thus he believed that Lan Zhan hated him. Wanting nothing more than to get away and start a new life, Wei Ying decided to play up being the lunatic gay man Mo Xuanyu and claimed he was attracted to Lan Zhan, thinking he would be repulsed and back off. But Lan Zhan refused to lose the man he loves again, so “Mo Xuanyu’s” confession backfired, and he ended up going to the Gusu Lan Clan. Once there, Wei Ying tried several other tactics to get thrown out of the Cloud Recesses so he could live a life separate from the cultivation world that hated him, but Lan Zhan exercised more acceptance for his antics this time around because he wanted Wei Ying by his side. And once Wei Ying learned Lan Zhan knew his true identity, he stopped trying to escape and willingly stayed beside Lan Zhan. And most importantly, once Wei Ying finally learned that Lan Zhan loved him, he wasted no time and (very publicly/embarrassingly) pronounced his own love for Lan Zhan. To put an end to this long rant, I don’t think Wei Ying is stupid. He just appears stupid to the readers because WE know how Lan Zhan feels about him.
