i thought this is just the normal way to do it? if u skip that first stitch wouldn’t u be doing an unintentional decrease?

Thank you so much! I’m a beginner crochet again after learning the basics years ago and never progressed so teaching myself through KZread and this helped so much! Attempting to make a blanket so definitely gonna use this method for my corners to keep them straight ❤

I was one of the people who searched for hours and hours trying to make a crochet design and got frustrated when it looked wrong or the stitches weren't correct. When I decided to do a scarf, this was the first video that came up which was everything I was expecting it to be, SLOW, EASY and CLEAR TO UNDERSTAND, and when she told me to relax, I did. This video made crocheting a non-stressing thing and I have made a beautiful masterpiece from it. To support this channel, I have liked and subscribed to it and I want to be a part of the community that watches her amazing videos. Like this comment if u agree.

I've been doing it like this and didn't realise there was another way. Come to think of it when I was learning I must have watched videos on the other method and not understanding why it was wonky. I found another video which did it as you described as I have been doing it ever since. I thought I was doing it wrong!

Does this work for single, half double crochet abd double crochet? I love this I was messing up on the V end I’ll try this trick. I’m a beginner I’ve been so frustrated trying to figure out how to get straight edges. So happy you posted this to make us feel like we’re not going crazy. Was making a baby blanket out of the Bernet Blanket Yarn I gave up !!! The ends were so bad it was so frustrating. On U-tube it looked so easy. Praying this works for me as a beginner. Now I need to get my tension down. Love your tutorials. Love the two toned hat !!!!! Gosh it’s brilliant can that be made in a child’s size 5 to 7 year olds. Thanks ❤😂🎉

I made this rose twice and undid it twice! I may not be Einstein in maths, but there's no way you can make only 4 double-crochet petals, 4 half double-crochet petals and 4 single crochet petals with 40 chains!

I wish that I would’ve known about you when I was first Learning how to crochet. You are very thorough and you show us exactly where the needle supposed to go and what stitch you’re supposed to go into. I have been crocheting for a few years now even though I’m 74, but I just subscribed to your channel because I’m sure there is more good stuff to come. Thank you.

Thanks for your time, I got to make a pretty little hat, however, the written pattern differs slightly from the video instructions, I also find that the zoom could be better to follow along by just watching. Overall I really like your way to explain, so thanks again!

great tutorial but I don't know why I get a big gap between the 2 needles, so for each new stich the gap gets wider and it ends up getting in the way. Why do you think this is happening? thanks a lot!

When changing from the band to the body first single stitch row along the raw edge, how do you see the 96 rows? I can't make out where the first new row should go. Ty for awesome content. :)

one quick question/comment row 9. we start with fpdc, and if there are 44 stirches should end in a regular dc. not a fpdc. cuz, i watched this 10 times and the math aint mathin' if we have an even number we start with one stitch and end in another. or am i missing something?
