Awesome photography and humpback encounters. You had very clear calm conditions. We spent a week at Tonga Blue Lagoon Resort Vava'u in September 2023 which is to the south east of where you were. As you say - the people, the whales, the food, the water temperature and weather are fabulous. The tenderness between mother and calves is spell binding.

Really good podcast! One remark though: Is it really that bad, if an athlete makes 3 Million throughout his carreer? Doing what he loves to do, meeting interesting people, playing in front of 20.000 people in MSG, playing with or against the best players in the world? Even if you only have 2.000.000.- to your name after you are done playing after taxes, is more than a lot of people make during their whole life. Plus, there is lots of opportunities to make money after you are done playing. It´s not that one has to retire doing nothing after one is done. Who can say that he makes or made money with what he really loved to do? For most people it´s 9 - 5, doing something to pay the bills or simply to survive. I am glad that Brooks made plenty and he can really enjoy life now.

If you ever come back to the BVI, you need to do it via sailing charter. I have been taking guests to the BVI for the past 10 years and there is so much to see and explore. It is definitely nature's little secret. Take care.
