I saw the face. Nice :) very pretty transitions too. I'm not sure if it will let me attach a link but if it does I have a cool fractal face I found once (also a once chicken, but it wasn't a complex plane fractal) I'll attach it as a reply if it lets me.
@Trogramming13 күн бұрын
Never mind, it won't let me copy the link on this device. It's cool when you stumble upon something emergent you didn't intend on. The main exception is analogs of the Quadratic Koch Island accidentally making a bunch of Sw@$t!kas by coincidence. I don't know if that's happened to you but any time I play with l-systems to iterate the perimeter of a square there's lots of ways to accidentally make shapes that look like that symbol. Then I start panicking that people will think it's intentional.

I can see what I originally assumed was a polar inversion. Maybe two layers with pinch&whirl in different directions. but then seeing the way different lines merge together when they get close to each other suggests there's more going on. Did you get this effect from a function analogous to julia sets? I really can't tell if it's all complex numbers doing this or if you've scripted image processing on top of everything. It's nice as :) I've been wanting to learn how to use GimpFU (python in GIMP) to batch produce input frames using effects from GIMP. At the moment I mostly use PIL/Pillow but being able to add median blurs/embosses and fast edge detection directly into the scripts would be amazing.

Beautiful! I love it! Are these custom functions? They don't look like Julia Sets but they're very fast so I'd probably miss it if there was a familiar state. Also are you linear interpolating between different c values? Or are you rotation the complex values with e^(iθ). Usually when I try a new recursive function I just mass produce images by rendering random c values (usually multiple) and then when I find two nice looking shapes near one another I render the path between them. z=(z^2+(c*z)^6)/(1-(z*d))-z^2+(c+d)/2. Is really beautiful and I thoroughly recommend checking it out. I love your render style. Good stuff This comes up in the recommended videos on my fractal videos. I'm glad it does :D hopefully we get exposure together <3

Thank you for the nice words. I don't understand the math behind these fractals, I just poke around, drag the sliders, and if I see something nice, I hit the "Animation" button and enter the two numbers between which I saw the thing move. (Then I wait 8-16 hours, because the program renders the 750 images that make up a half-minute video incredibly slowly. :\ ) I can't find the data file for the fractal for this video, but the video has the same number on my computer as this ( puhapro.com/products/netting-fractal-matte-canvas ) black and white fractal. They probably come from each other. (I don't know why, but I love black and white fractals. ) The data file for that one says: C =Z°*Z°/Z+Fn1(Z); Z=(Z°*C)^2 Julia set: Real 4.8 Image: 3.7 Functions: CFloor Filter: Stalks-3 (.1824) I have no idea what it means.
