  The acoustics at the Tramshed aren't brilliant, but it wasn't as good a performance as when I saw them at the Anson Rooms in Bristol two or three years earlier. I think I'm right in saying that it was their first gig post-Covid, so they were perhaps a little gig-rusty, and I'm sure Roddy mentioned at the outset that Rod Jones had been suffering from a touch of that dreaded lurgy. Still, nice as a souvenir. This was the encore (and Captain wasn't on the setlist).

  In a queue to an indoor swimming pool, I waited with my son. And I noticed an unusually interesting looking individual. The question was, what did this man do, and how would I strike up the conversation required to discover the answer. Well, it turns out, the man, Christian was a musician. Professionally. With a Spotify account to substantiate such claims. After a pleasant conversation the time came for each of our families to enjoy a swim and we parted ways. Later I did peruse the Spotify playlist and discovered that the interesting and approachable man with the uniquely cool dress sense was indeed a talented musician and I have enjoyed his music ever since. Nice to see you here Christian. Kind regards. The Englishman from the swimming pool.

  Un peu surpris par ce nouvel album a la première écoute mais finalement il y'a tres peu de morceaux auxquels je n'accroche pas... Apparition, Through the Lattice, Bright Boy, Lionisis, Howling Flower, Celest, sa reprise de The Cuckoo sont très bons et les autres titres pas mauvais non plus. 😉
