The biggest ding against the C3 in my mind was the fact that it was so easy to over-steer, especially if you have years and years (decades, really) of not driving that kind of car. Okay, that, and getting the radiator out. That's a pain in the ass.

Comfort is an 8 for the C3? I'd give the C3 a 3 For Comfort it is probably one of the most uncomfortable cars that I've ever owned! Road Trip would be a 5, Performance would be a 3 in stock...but could be easily upgraded to make it a 10 because Old School Chevy's are easy to build! Maintenance would be a 9 only because of stupid gauges messing up from time to time including head lights! Over all the C3 is a cool car as long as the frame is not rusted out, Comfort really holds this car back a little while Modern Corvettes are very Comfortable from the C5 to the C7 I haven't driven a C8 yet but I don't know if I really care too considering it's a little Ugly!

TJ i assume you are engineer or machinist, mad skills for sure. I rebuilt a 75 convertible, u fortunately due to covid supply chain could not buy steeroids upgrades, vansteel trailing arms, etc So complete replace/rebuilt rolling suspension, body mounts, rear cross beam. Every brand new or rebuild. The car has torque, but i personnelly feel the 70s suspension is not build for big power. I had sold 86 944 turbo (40,000 org miles) The fit/feel/handling were worlds apart. Did you consider swapping c3 suspension to rolling C4? Nothing beats the C3 look I had a C4, far better handling. Fantastic job on your C3!

I've used the Sears Model 364-15506 airbrush for over 40 years. You can mix just as much paint as you need. If you use a traditional spray gun or even an aerosol can, you have a large spray pattern of like 6-8 inches for a tiny 1/4 chip. With an airbrush, you have precision control and can actually get to the point, with a little practice, where you can perfectly fill in a tiny scratch with no masking and little to no overspray. With acrylic lacquer, the paint goes on very thin (with a 50/50 paint to thinner ratio) so you have to hit it several times. But with the airbrush, putting down multiple thin coats is very easy and clean to do. Just like in the video, it's important to get an airbrush that has variable paint output. Kind of like a variable speed drill. With the adjustable airbrush, you pull the trigger back to increase the flow of paint. A lady I know is so precise, she can airbrush intricate designs on ladies' fingernails. It's good to practice with water-based paints on scrap material first. Before you know it, you'll be an old pro!

Even though this video is from two years ago I find it very helpful. Thank you for putting this video up on KZread. I did not know about the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Fuel Injection system. I bought the Fast EZ EFI 2.0 system and have had lots of problems with it. It was so bad I took it off my car and went back to a Holley Carb. My system learned in the wrong direction and running was progressively terrible. (Back firing, code errors, ETC.) I am going to give this system and EFI another try.

Your lack of knowledge of head design is astounding. Your lack of product research is pathetic. 1. Aluminum heads don't need quench pads as the nature of aluminum is to dissipate heat, thus being able to run a higher compression ratio without fear of detonation. Besides, that is a spark plug boss, not a quench pad, and get milled down when ported and polished 2. "The Vortec is a better casting all around"... Really? You are making an apples-to-orange comparison of heads that are made of different materials with completely different properties. 3. Due to the aforementioned heat sink properties of aluminum, the water jacket design is going to be a bit different. You don't need wrap-around jackets when you have a 20-pound aluminum heat sink sitting atop your cylinders. 4. The taller deck height of the BPE head is to improve the port angle for better flow. It also adds strength and dissipates heat. You slept through physics apparently. 5. BPE either manufactures their own parts in-house or outsources to brand aftermarket sources. A quick trip to the website tells you who they partner with. Do some product research before casting aspersion of low quality for clicks and views. 6. As if all points you mention being completely untrue are not bad enough, the big kick in your pants is the out-of-the-box performance BPE has over the Bow Tie, 47 additional horsepower at peak, and increased HP across the entire band. Try performing a dyno comparison to back up your claims. Oh, others like Richard Holdener have done that for you... 7. As you stated, "...as I have heard...", you based your assessment on third-party chatter rather than actual dyno numbers. And your lack of knowledge about head design makes this video look entirely like a hit piece. It is obvious this is clickbait to drive your numbers up. If you can't talk about something you know, don't. And as Bige4u stated, "4:15 ... If anyone didnt catch it, the outter mounting bolt holes on the VORTEC head, GM clearenced them almost into the exhaust port, leaving less material for the exhaust gasket to totally seal to, so expect less gasket life... obviously not a problem on the BLUEPRINT heads, raising them avoided that issue." You are wrong on nearly every point and your "opinion" matters not. Odd, you went to BPE's website for the flow numbers but did not research anything else? Really?
