    was wondering what tradio and battery pack are you using?

  • @B2Humla
    @B2Humla4 күн бұрын

    It is two batteries, "Sunpadow Platin Stock Racing 8000mAh 7.4V 2S 130/65C LiPo". They are connectied in series so we have 4S volt. I am not doing any serious racing (yet), so if you are into racing (I believe they do 7 minutes races) ask the people that are doing that. I have seen some people using 9000mah batteries. Radio? I am using a Spektrum DX5, but any radio and receiver for rc racing will do ok.

    I have run one of these for a few years now. Still an impressive car. In my groupe of friends we all have front wheel drive cars, and the Schumacher is tops. Equipped with a 17.5 motor it out guns similar cars equipped with 13.5 motors. We dont run timing or ESC tuning either. I did purchase the optional shocks for it as the kit shocks I found to be kind of ridiculous.

  • @B2Humla
    @B2HumlaАй бұрын

    Yes stock shocks was almost funny to build. I believe Schumacher RC has dropped the Mission FT now. Bad, because the low kit price was attractive and got a lot of people into the hobby as their first rc racing car.

  • @TinyTiresRC
    @TinyTiresRCАй бұрын

    @@B2Humla Definitely a little bothered by the loss of the FT as a Kit. Fortunately parts are still available, not that it breaks all that often. It's a sturdy platform when used appropriately. Plus I purchased a myriad of spares when I bought the kit. I'm pleasantly surprised how durable it has proven to be.

    How is your vs2 holding up? I replaced my engine with the lrp .32 spec 4. And also after burning through a set of aluminium shoes I’m upgrading the clutch to the reds tetra clutch and going up to 19 teeth on the clutch bell.

    I used only the stock engine and pinion. It ran good with the right glow plug. I later converted it to electric, but I sold it later. Today I got a Serpent SRX8 1/8 nitro buggy. Will post some more nitro videos later when I got time. Also a Mugen 1/8 track nitro and a Serpent 1/8 GT nitro I will test this summer I hope.

    Nice location. You should delete the chicane right in front of you. It's dangerous for the cars. If you are less than smooth with the steering, you'll upset the car, loose the rear, and crash hard against the kerb. Plus, you need a proper home straight. Especially for the 1/8 - it does not like sudden changes of direction and it likes free flowing circuits. With that much space you can go full throttle with it and practice full throttle turns too, without any fear of crashing it.

  • @B2Humla
    @B2Humla3 ай бұрын

    Thanks. Will test new layout next time. This location is in use so we cant make a permanent rc track there.

  • @OliveiraX
    @OliveiraX3 ай бұрын

    @@B2Humla Of course. I understood. I meant making a circuit using chalk and cones, like you did. I was just advising how to improve the circuit for the 1/8 car. It needs speed (and the aerodynamic downforce that comes from it) to work well. At low speeds, it is very hard to control. It has very little grip. Once it gets up to speed it turns and brakes much better.

    What is the part number for the asphalt tires? I see several options from Schumacher, but they don't explain which is for asphalt. Thank you for posting.

  • @B2Humla
    @B2Humla7 ай бұрын

    Some stiffer (higher shore grade) rubber tires is used outdoor on asphalt. So I guess the part number can be the same, just the shore grade is different. Indoor on carpet shore 28 is common, with tire additive. Outdoor stiffer rubber so about shore 32-34. Depends on temperature and some heat up the rubber before the race. Additive may be used if the race rules permit it. This video has some tire part numbers, see description kzread.info/dash/bejne/aaWH0cOIYsjgks4.html
