Great piece of kit I use it all the time. Quick tip for you, when you rest the lid on the side there's two grooves for the bottom the lid to sit in on the legs. Hope this helps
It really is we used it for the first time last weekend and did all our cooking on it, I did see them on the legs and was wondering what they was for thanks for that I will definitely use them next time 👍
Enjoyed your video and looks lovely down on the front. Staying on a cl in couple of weeks so will def pay a visit for a cake or two 😃
Thank you glad you liked the video, definitely worth a visit, lovely walks nice shops and if you ask Claire a really nice bakery 😅 hope you have a nice time away 👍
Great video :) I have no idea where to begin - any advice before I buy one?
Hi thanks glad you enjoyed the video, I would start by looking at your car and checking maximum towing capacity, once you have done that your have an idea of how big of a caravan you can get, then you will need to look at lay outs I.e fix bed separate shower and toilet etc they are so manny different lay outs you can get and this really depends on you and what works best for you, obviously you would have a budget in mind then it’s just a matter of going and having a look at sum if your buying secondhand ideally something that has recently been serviced and has a damp report because that’s going be the biggest thing to look out for making sure they are no signs of damp this can be very tricky, if you’re spending a fair bit of money, I will probably recommend getting the engineer to look over it and give you a report hope this helps there are a lot of videos on KZread about what to look out for etc when buying a caravan, hope it works out for you it’s worth it in the end 😊
Great video guys🤙
Glad you enjoyed it Ian 😊

Looks like some good eats there!! Good job!!
We have the mini version of that in our motorhome as there’s only ever the two of us. They are a good bit of kit, hope you enjoy using it.
That’s good to hear we do see everyone using them beats cooking in the caravan especially when it’s sunny 😎

We have the 40, just put in the soak tray( extra purchase) whilst eating, then easy to wipe off the fat
Oh ok I have a look for one of them didn’t know you could get one thanks for the tip 👍
Great video. We use our Chef 50 every trip. Wouldn't be without it. Get the leg bag, put a bit of water in the fat tray makes cleaning a bit easier. I have a connector on our van but I always use a quick release and the Coleman C500 cannisters, makes it much more portable as you can move it around or even use at home. Season each cooking surface before use and you'll love it. Oh and check out the soft soak 50 it's a silicone wash bowl specifically for the Chef 50. Look forward to seeing how you get on for your first BBQ. Cheers Kev
Thanks for that kev I will definitely go and have a look for one of them soft soak anything that makes it easier to clean 👍
Hi we just sold are chef 50 nice bit of kit for family cooking but to much to clean we have now change to cadac cook2 pro just a quick tip put water in the fat tray that will stop fat sticking to it you might have to up now again also get the cadac cleaner enjoy 💯 tray which sits on bu
Thanks for the tips 👍 I will definitely be putting some water in the fat tray anything that makes it easier to clean
Great vlog on the cadac especially how to put it back in its bag.we bought the same one as you but widh we got the small table top one, easier to store and clean.a little tip for the cadac legs we put ours in a old folding chair bag works well.happy cooking guys.....steve.
I am hoping I haven’t make a mistake and it’s to big 🫤 but I am sure we will find out, that is a really good idea with the legs I will definitely be doing that 👍
We just got back from Hillside Caravan Club Park weather not great, but very relaxing...not a lot to do there. You have to leave the site and drive to places.
Yeah we have been to a few where they isn’t much to do but sometime we like it that way we can just relax lot better if the weather is good so you can relax outside
😊
Just found you guys whilst in the buying phase of our caravan... Binged watched the videos - great content! When's the next one dropping :) ?
Hi thank you ☺️ really appreciate you watching our videos, we are back in the caravan next weekend! And there will be a video to follow we also have other trips planned this summer so stay tuned 😊. Good luck with buying a caravan you won’t regret it 👍
I really enjoyed that !! It's amazing just what power these units generate and can see it really handled ur weekend break off grid 🙂👍 really good video subd.... ATB Simon
Thank you ☺️ yes I was really surprised how well it lasted we was lucky to have the sun out to charge it But I think it would’ve lasted two nights if you’re very careful without charging
I have a question. My citroen c5 aircross doesn't have a easy tow bar connection. Iv just looked. Help
Do u have a tow bar fitted, if not you would have to get one fitted by a professional but I would check to make sure your car can tow the caravan that you are looking to get
I stumbled onto your videos while searching for my 1st ever caravan. Iv not got one yet but your videos have been very helpful. I wanted to do this caravaning on my own. But all this manual work makes me think i need a strong man around me. 😂 But i want to do this on my own with my dog. Iv subscribed so i can see from genuine people with this is going to be possible. 😮
Of course it’s possible you don’t have to be strong and after a few trips on your own you soon get into a routine that suits you the one thing I would say which is a must is to make sure you have a handle for your Aqua roll when you’re transporting the water
who washes soup down with fanta😂 great vid again I even subscribed.🥳
😂 now I think about it that is a bit strange, thank you for subscribing 😊
Better off using white lithium grease on the steadies.
Yes you are right as the WD40 did only last a week but we have the caravan service not long after and they used grease and they have be very easy ever since
Nice site next to Africa Alive , Kessingland.
Putting up the name of the site would be very helpful.
Hi thanks for watching, I did put the name of the site in the description
Ha e you had a da.p check done? Ot normally done in a service .
Yes all have been done now all it needed was a new burner for the fridge to work on gas
Just about to buy our first secondhand caravan so going to subscribe to you !
Exciting! Hope everything goes well for you and don’t forget if you ever get stuck with anything there are lots of people to reach out to. Bet you can’t wait for your first trip away. Thank you so much for subscribing👍
Hi we were the same last weekend. First time taking our 5 berth caravan out and took ages to set up. Think I will be ok next time but really enjoyed it. Looks like the same layout as yours 👍
Hi yeah it took us a long time to and we didn’t even put the awning up on our first time round but now it only takes us about 45 minutes to set up everything. It gets a lot easier and quicker the more you do it, hope you enjoy your caravanning best time of year to be doing it as well 👍
You need a hose for the water
We got one after that trip been so much easier ever since lol
Thanks for the video. I was worried about the setup but you made this look easy.
Wouldn’t worry there will always be someone around to help if you get stuck. It gets lot easier more trips you do it only takes us 45 minutes to set everything up now
loving the vids keep up the good work and enjoy
Thank you very much 😊
Glad set up mate. We are also new to caravanning and are actually going away for a test run tomorrow before our big trip to the Netherlands later on in the year.
Wow that will be some adventure hope your trial goes well and you enjoy it it gets easier more you do it it only takes us about 45 minutes now to set everything up

our 2nd yeah caravaning love every trip we go on happy caravaning
We are loving it so far 😊
love the vids
Thank you 😊
our 2nd yeah caravaing love everytime we go
love the vlogs happy camping
lovely video guys . I guess the pitch size thing is a lesson learned,, but we all make the best of any situation
Thank you ☺️ yes it was totally my fault but after seeing the full service pitches I’m glad I didn’t spend the extra on them as I looked really disappointing compared to the ones at Vauxhall holiday park which looked really big and spacious
That’s good to know ,another one off my go to sites … currently on a haven site in Dorset .. nearly cancelled due to horrible write up# on trip advisor ,glad we didn’t as it’s superb fully serviced pitches with hedges around and spotless toilet facilities .
Sometimes it’s just best to go and find out for yourself everyone has so manny different opinions, we are doing other Parkdean in pool in July hopefully I have booked the right size pitch this time 😂 hope your having a lovely trip 👍
great vlog guys. Thanks for your honesty. I have to say, large sites like these are the complete antithesis of what I would go for, but it looks like the management there are just taking money for the least possible effort.
I do believe like yourself, massive companies are all about money in my opinion you can’t go wrong with a nice well maintained CL site but as we had the kids with us it’s a bit of a balancing act with them not being bored I wouldn’t of said it was a terrible site just wish they would make the pitches bigger
Hope your planning your next trip. Nice video. We were next door in April at the camc site which has great views at the front.
We sure are lol got other trip in June but might see if we can get away again before that one, that camc site looked nice i saw them pitches right on the sea front I bet they are popular
@@CaravanTrails if you book without awning you can have pitch that side
Good to know thank you 👍
Some cool camera shots! Have fun! We’re picking up our first caravan on Wednesday
Thank you, exciting times your love it! Hope you enjoy your first trip I am sure you will
Honest vog as usual. We were away last weekend at Rutlands water, great site. Split into 2 1 adult only and also family. All are fully se4viced. Great peaceful site. Great area for kids. Caravan and motorhome site.
Thank you ☺️ do you know the name of the site?
Great vlog as usual, hope you had a good time with your family 😊
Thank you!! 😊
£860 wow. I'm getting a supply and fitting for £210 down the road from me. I wonder if it is to do with the make of vehicle as mine is a 20 year old toyota rav4 Diesel is good, yes it is more expensive but a tank lasts a lot longer than a petrol. With my petrol I can get about 400 miles out of a fill tank (55 litre tank) - she's a 2.0 too
is it a fixed tow bar or detachable? I know the detachable ones are more expensive, I also had to have dedicated wiring as there are some safety features on the car that is activated when the caravan is attached also had to do it for warranty reasons.
@@CaravanTrails its a fixed one - no that I've done it yet as I need to save
I used to help my mum set up the caravan when we were on holidays, but tbh the though terrifies me. I'm going smaller and getting a trailer tent once I get my tow bar attached. Although I think I will need to get a 7 pin to 13 pin adapter as most trailer tents and caravans have 13 pin to attached to the car (my tow bar will only have 7 pin electrics)
I drive trucks for a living so pulling a caravan is pretty easy for me but if your not used to it I can see why some people would prefer to go with something more easy to tow and reverse. If you haven't got your tow bar fitted yet I would see if you can get a 13 pin socket fitted instead of a 7 pin would make life bit easier for you. hope everything goes well and I am sure your really enjoy it when you get everything sorted.
