Depends if I'm a professional chef and you paid me money to cook for you, couldn't care less, you already thanked me with your money, don't be a douchebag or cause a scene in my establishment and there is no problem. If I'm cooking for someone in a more personal manner than yes a thank you is important

It may depend on a sushiya, seating at a counter is not always for “omakase”. When you are seated at a counter, a good itamae (chef) will replenish gari (pickled ginger) without you asking. Before the omakase trend, ordering omakase at sushiya was little more casual. It depended on what were the recommendations of the day and the client decided he/she will leave it up to the itamae. I always enjoy and learn from your Instagram post. Thank you Dr. Lee.

I personally use glencarins to taste cognac. I understand the chewing to get more flavor notes. I don't buy expensive cognac I use it mostly to blend with rye whiskey. And its a great blender.

Vs is for Food, Vsop is for drinks and xo and above is for drinking, but remember... an xo is not just and xo. A cheap xo is normaly very young, a mor expensice is much older. So ask the age. An xo should be about 15-25 year if its a good xo.

For the first, the glass is wrong!. Second, Cognac is brandy but brandy is not Cognac. The third, its no rule how you enjoy Cognac! One of the thing that Cognac is much bettee is becouse of the regulations how they are allowed to make Cognac. Example Cognac need to be double destilated. Brandy has no rules and regulations.

I came to this video after having a woman routinely shake hands with me at work and with my generation I'm used to women wanting to hug and many men still shake hands. Luckily, I believe I passed the test as she extended her hand first, and I made eye contact as I would with a man, although my grip was at a 1 out of 10.
