Teep Muay Thai

Teep Muay Thai

I am Chris Fairtex, an undefeated Muay Thai fighter who has a Muay Thai addiction and suffers from Random Muay Thai Syndrome (RMTS).

RMTS is the involuntary application of Muay Thai and excessive use of the word "Ohweee", particulary in social settings.

I have been training Muay Thai for 13 years and in this channel I will pass onto you everything I have learned and experienced.

I started bodybuilding and stopped because punching was stiff. No im 80kg at 5’8 with some body fat and training Muay Thai 6 days a week hoping to fight next year. Not eating terribly (a lot of Thai food haha) my weight won’t budge. Feel strong though and that’s alright

To fully answer your question, I don’t fight, I do this purely cause I just love the training and the way it improves my health (the same way someone who loves lifting weights but doesn’t compete in bodybuilding.) On top of that I just love making videos , I always have, so my content is mainly for the ppl who just love the training, that’s all, and I understand my style is not for everyone. 99% of the people that follow all my pages know I don’t fight and they absolutely don’t care. I’ve used my content to help gyms promote themselves and build more members and to help fighters promote their upcoming fights because these guys go through a lot and they deserve more recognition . This brand has allowed me to link up with the biggest fighters, promos and gyms in the world. Right now this brand pulls in close to 10k per month (revenue that is) but it isn’t my whole life as I have other businesses and revenue streams running in the background that do better financially.

Both are kinda shit, but id personally go for the twins. BUT, i don't understand why they don't make their gloves, fitting in a way that my knuckles hit first. Its always a bit curved in a way that i will hit with my finger bending joints. Sick of it.

i currently have the twins special fbgvl3 (same as the one featured in your video, with just fancy designs ^_^) and the fairtex bgv9. i like the longer wrist cuff of the bgv9 and i'm aware its a pair you don't want to use for sparring (unless it's that infamous boxing dude or a "dojo stormer") any experience with the fairtex bgv5/bgv6 as far as sparring goes?

Love the twins. Got a pair of black 14 oz, had them since the start of this year and there isnt a scratch on them, none of the logo has worn off not even a scrape from hitting the bag with them, only issue with them is at first they feel tight but after tgat they fit perfectly

I got 16oz red twins for sparring and they're mint for sparring and I've got 12oz primo leather in red for pad work. IMO twins are great sparring gloves but avg. bag work gloves they're too open and make you're pu chest softer. Absolutely love them for sparring though so good for clinching also

I've got Twins Specials that I use for sparring and I find them tight around my fingers. Enough so that after some time my fingers go numb. It's not my wraps, it's not how I wrap, it's the gloves and how they fit. My bag gloves are cleto reyes and they're about perfect. I love those. I'm about to pick up some BGV1's to replace my Twins and see how they fair.

  • @teepmuaythai

Yeah my twins 16oz have a right hand compartment. But imo bgv1 aren’t good sparring gloves, the padding is compact and dense that It’s like hitting your partner with a piece of wood. Bgv1 better for training, it gives good feedback on the pads and back.

Yo man , I structured the sentence wrong, I was trying to say that the twins will be 30-40 dollars more expensive than the Fairtex gloves . The Twins gloves are about $190 whilst the Fairtex you can get around $150. The gloves I’m holding here they sell them at Cabra Fight store in Cabramatta

Thought the same way as U when I first started at the start of the year, when I say it's one of the best things I have ever done I am not joking. Tips I can give U are, 1. be consistent ( I have only been doing it for 5 months but am a bit better then people who started it the same time as me because I'm there alot), 2. be patient, your not gonna learn everything really quickly and the most important tip, 3, say ooowweee after every kick to give it 30% more power 😂
