I have played and defeated that guy a while ago and yes it was tilting. I think he does the same thing every game, LOL!
What civs do you play?

Ok thanks for everything, just a few things that might be worthwhile here a) BOs are arms races for matchups essentially and philosopher prince did find a place in Goodspeed's guide. b) A lot of my games get left midway or just left at the start because of delayed pick up because well there are other stuff at my end. Sorry personal stuff can't disclose. I don't always play with a free mind. c) FIing vs boom combined with turtle ability is just counterplay(brit, japan). Sometimes FIing also gives a compositional advantage, say guard war wagon vs sioux or ottoman because of vet stats being the base. d) Turtling helps when there's compositional disadvantage say a lot of muskets(say otto) , age 2 goons( sioux) or disproportionately large number of units( tower ff vs russia or china) early on against the option of training xbows with low multiplier. e) I generally FF vs france but its a greedy turtle sort of ff. f) USA can turtle with forts, blockhouses and gatling guns. An FI is a pretty good answer at least in theory provided it is executed well.
Seeing games like this is awsome, but it makes we wondering how i am only 1100 elo 😅. Surely i beat them both. Does timezone make such a huge difference

toblerone is so close to being a master all they need to do is be more comfortable with transitioning I think they got nervous and mainlined their build focusing on the execution rather then being flexible which is understandable

T'is indeed my favorite build! :D I tend to age up and not stay in age II for too long, especially if that is a map where I cannot take multiple tp's for stage coach And it's the only way I enjoy Spain to begin with :D
I used this build in the no res crate tournament. and it's great with crates as well

Nice to hear that Platypus is a tabletop guy. I have a shelf full of some heavy cardboard, but the 10-30 minute aoe3 games are just easier to get through than a 20 hour Fire in the Lake session! Appreciate this topic on revolts. Personally if I get revolted on, I blame myself for not scouting and getting on it. I still get more torqued at botto FI builds than anything but I guess we all have our prejudices.
Really nice debate. I like revolutions, and I like how they change the pace. I think that all revolutions should have some age 5 play. The revolts should have some backup plan for a failed attack. Maybe not the entire army should go Age 5, but all revolts should have some age 5 units, and a card or tech for those units that shadowtech.

Native civs in general have strong Rushs , but Aztec has the strongest, even stronger then Lakota because of the xp curve is a lot better and they can mass and remass a lot faster. And they have these double shipments as well. The German player tried everything he can but as the Custer's said, he missed the timings which is the most important thing in AoE 3
Revolts are fine being a euro only thing, all civ groups have their own unique mechanics. Revolts just need to be tuned down, or make it much harder to get eco back
100% agree, revos are fine in the game, but a lot of them need nerfs… if that’s removing its ability to get eco back or making it harder to achieve.

Big fan of them, listen to them more then once! Maybe another on the current balance, but as well as the community. I feel the overall state of mind has improved a lot the last half year. (Since the legacy 'pro's' left the game).

All civs having A4 revolt options is a great standard that I hope the game reaches. Native, Asian and African revolution access please🤞. It'd also be neat to revolt through Map Natives via Trade Post options (allowing all civs to A2 revolt revert for A4). Unless a favorable situation has been reached, revolts should be toppled with a "knowledge check" (to borrow from fighting games). To counter Baha Eco, check mines, hide vills and catch that factory. Simple steps unless you're rebuilding after a hard fought A2/3. I do agree that it's poorly communicated which revolution is happening. A "Baha imminent" and "Baha happened" warning would be preferable, like Trade Monopoly. That goes for things like the Japan Ronin card too. I did not expect such extensive community and fandom wellness politic, good job y'all.

If you time the German dops correctly txt probably would have won because all my units were bunched together. If you get the timing right with German they are a hard counter to Aztec rushes.
