  Saw Kay in ‘Cast a Dark Shadow’ with Dirk Bogarde and Margaret Lockwood. I was knocked out by her beauty. Such a talented actress and so underrated. She starred in so many films too. Oliver Twist, Tunes of Glory, The Magnet to name just a few. She was brilliant and could turn her hand to so many roles. She deserved much more recognition for her skills. Amazing lady!

  She was a great actress but her role choices as a black woman were limited.

  True in a way, but she was in the original Broadway play 'Owl and The Pussycat' and co-starred in that with Alan Alda. She also co-starred with Beau Bridges in the movie ' The Landlord' (good movie if you can find it). She was his lover in that movie. She was here a short time, but the roles she played were not limited to roles that only called for Black actresses (as is apparent here). In that way, she was way ahead of her time.

  One of the funniest - and scariest - characters ever. It’s funny because I’ve never heard her real voice until this video. Her character voice is just an exaggerated version of her actual voice. But man, when she yelled, “You don’t have a Cousin Patty!” or “Owen, where’s my Pepsi, you nincompoop!” I was howling.
