  I'm bigger and personally think that anyone should be able to dress as anyone. The more diverse we are, the more acceptance there will be. I am fat and I hereby tell you all to please feel free to have a fursuit with a bigger body or cosplay as fat characters. The more of us there are, the less hatred we will experience.

  I can't say I quite like some of the language you used, as weight is often out of a person's control and NOT a choice. The takeaway is you shouldn't bodyshame, because you never know a person's whole history. It may be a choice, it may be not

  I don't wear fursuits, but I often cosplay as Kaonashi from Spirited Away, and me being a chubby woman use padding to get the straight tubular shape he has, let alone it also can be used as storage space. This artist not only is dumb but doesn't understand a lick on how a full body costume works.

  Too anyone out there who the post/image has affected, you don't have to listen to other people's opinion. Stuffing your fursuit isn't harming anyone, and if it makes you happy, go for it. And as a fat/chubby person, 30-40lbs over my recommend bmi, I feel like people take things to the extreme when things are rarely black and white. Obviously being way over weight or way under weight isn't healthy. It's kind of disgusting behavior for people to treat people differently on solely appearances alone. Too much or too little of anything is bad, but being an ahole isn't going to fix anything on a large scale. It doesn't come across as genuine concern and can even push people over the edge. Bums me out that people are dwelling on things so much, especially online, that the focus and reality of things get lost. The best you can do from my experience, is to do the things that make you happy. Design your suit anyway you want, if it's not promoting anything that can hurt anyone, it's not an issue and people can learn to mind their own business.

  Sometimes I rub my eyes and forehead sometimes, how can I completely understand on the emotional side of things because shaming is bad and I know that so whoever wants to die from being overweight or extremely skinny go ahead as no one movie stopping you except for your own self but now I'm going to go on to the logical side of things because I don't wear my emotions on my sleeve and it's a bad idea to wear your emotions on your sleeve but whoever suits their own, I think this person that made this art was talking about how padding could harm the person inside the suits because more padding causes insulation so you're basically roasting yourself inside and bigger people don't have to add that so more air can go through the suits so you don't accidentally kill yourself from a heat stroke but you can still add padding to the suits, you just have to wear a vest with massive amount of ice packs inside

  3 years late but, holy shit people have no fucking chill and have too much time to be offended by every single opinion they come across; Don't enable the easily offended overly dramatic people who think too lightly of their opinions; this drama didn't need to exist and literally everyone could have moved on with their day without having a mental crisis.   i dont see that persons issue. theres nothing wrong with having a fat oc even if youre not fat. i have some chubby ocs myself and im very thin. theres nothing wrong with having a fat sona if anything id love to see more. its good to depict bodies of all sizes.

  Finally some good food. I hate coming across fat acceptance people who like to blanket the problems with being overweight, calling it fine and healthy while shaming skinny people for existing. Fucking terrible. Im a fatty btw friends :3 My fursona is a fatty too but one day I might not be fat because I want to be a healthier version of myself and my sona might stay fat because they look so cuddly.

  I agree that what the artist said is wrong. You can shape whatever you want in your fursona. Fursonas are a way to express what you want. So it doesn't matter how you are in your suit. The most important is how your fursona looks. But it's hard to say that wanting to being over or under weight is good if you'd like to. I know you mentioned not in extreme ways, but for some people, they don't understand what extremes mean. Some people would think it's fine to be in an extreme state. Usually, these extremes come from an ill mind (like anorexia, for example) and cause harm to them and sometimes in their surrounding...
