I’m not back this but I hope it’s successful
I would buy Jim Lee turtles ultimates I got the original three and yes I still want a Leo to
Cookin
Brian was forced to give these turtles double articulation ! He's pro-less articulation, and he's said it numerous times . I bet his other ultimates will stick to the crappy, barely basic articulation.
Buying toys is not investing. It just spending money. Buy it because you like it.
Thing is if someone pays $400-$500 but doesn’t have Hasbro pulse membership it’s still and extra $83 cost on top of that Hefty price
I was originally going to back it at the end of the campaign. Now, I don’t think so. I’m excited to see the box art if it’s funded but I’m really struggling to get into backer mode excitement for this. Highly unlikely to get any unlocks making the value even worse. Its rarity might be attractive but I think that anyone that wants one is already a backer. I was an opening team member for Ogas Cantina in Galaxys Edge, so I have an affinity with the cantina similarities and details of the bar but this doesn’t feel like it’s a good value for $4-500 with only 3 figs. The Skystriker was like $250 with 7 figs and highly displayable.
You work with haslab?
😀👏👏👏👏😊
All lazy excuses from an out of touch team and company
Geez how much would it have cost them to put a shell around it so it looks like a building on the outside
Its likely the underlying affordability crisis is impacting this more than a lack of enthusiasm. Put the Ghost or Razor Crest Haslabs in "today's" economic landscape, and I bet they'd be struggling also (e.g. groceries or plastic). I backed it, but I won't blame fans OR Habro if it fails under these circumstances.
Podcast is trash
For Hasbro to act as if A rudimentary base plastic floor piece or two would _"affect the budget."_ Someone should of reminded _Hasbro_ what their charging for that Catina... > An also, that _Mattel_ has A 3.5" ft × 2' ft _Barbie_ 'Dreamhouse' on (Target) retail shelves for $220!
No electronic sounds or lights.
Correct
Thanks for the video. I can't wait for the cantina and I really, really want ALL the unlocks! Back it!
This will be the first TVC haslab to not hit the stretch goals. It’s just not as interesting as a ship to me and I think to many other collectors. My guess is it finishes at 13k
I bought The 399 and 499 so I can have one set of figures sealed and the other open. When I get it I plan on selling the 399 with out figures to get back some of the money.
Thanks for the information. Given that it's such a high-end item, the Modular Parts/Alcove walls should be weathered/textured on both sides, (ie including the curved archway entrances on both sides of the bar). Front and Back, so outside/extended dioramas can be set-up and displayed.
The haslab cantina is way cheaper than having it 3-D printed I looked into it , I'm backing it deluxe cantina set , I'm using kitchen floor tile I'm going straight to Menards an finding me some tile too match come on guys we can do it ,let's back all these priceless tiers/figures we can do it
My money is on Hasbro cooking the numbers to at least hit Guido, because it ain't hitting Guido without Fudge. If it doesn't hit Guido expect at least 25% of orders to be cancelled because of a $150 loss of cardbacks. If it just hits Guido, I expect 10% to 15% cancellations. This thing is too cheaply made and way too expensive, so unless you get Guido, 4 thumbs and wolfman... Hasbro going to be celebrating because one, they made a ton of money for nothing, and two, they get to point and say playsets don't sell, and they go back to starships. This cantina isn't holding 109 characters, it won't even hold half or a third, plus the damn droid alarm doesn't even light up. At least have that light up with sound. I'd take that over wolfman. Hasbro just makes bad choices, their staff just make terrible choices.
I'm buying it, but some fans want the Cantina Bar to have Led lights, so this is why some people don't want to buy it
Nice edit dude 🙌
The bad part of haslabs/crowd funding is that, we the backers, are the middle man paying retail for a product instead of getting it at wholesale... I mean, the cantina with 3 or 6 figures is "reasonable" at $399 if I was picking it up at Walmart however Walmart isn't paying $399 a pop for it they are buying 20,000 sets at $180 a piece. 20,000x180=$3,600,000 which essentially is the 8,000 we need to get this made- everything over is profit and much more then they would recive if this went to retail- especially since atleast 5,000 would be clearenced out at $180
If it was $180, I'd back it.
About the size, I can imagine this thing will be awesome if you build a glass top and sides and then make it into a coffee table. The sides on the outside can have a light relief of mos eisley cityscape. You’re welcome.
That's essentially what people have been doing for A decade w/ custom dio's of it. - Thanks anyways,
The sisters were used as bait to help sell an overly high priced diorama. Shame on you HazLab.
Hasbro always act like they aren’t making millions of dollars.
This is the perfect place to put them being they are both all new scupts... All new tooling for both needs an order of around 10k minimum for an action figure to be reasonable priced (now at the $12-15 range). There is no way they sell at least 10k of each at retail and odds are they have to make 20,000 of each to put them out at retail with new sculpts
... And besides that they are niche characters- just look at all the people saying a cantina diorama/playset is not on the list of exciting haslab products they want. Me personally, the cantina has a lot of nostalgia. People like me born in the 80's or fans born in the 70's who collect Star Wars toys probably see this as a dream item- younger fans probably don't and Disney has left a bad taste in many fans mouths so who knows how many are left out their to get this to 17K... 13-15k is my prediction.
Lol. Duh and so the fuck what.
It's just a bar, if you don't have any of the figures what do you do with it? I backed the other haslab ships but im a hard pass on a bar
Making Wuher and Tonika's "exclusive" to this project could actually backfire. If we just let the project fail, do we eventually get those figures in the mainline and for regular retail prices? Could the best case scenario be that it fails to back, the figures come out in the mainline and several people quit their jobs to become Cantina Diorama builders.
Hasbro stated if the project doesn’t fund then those figures don’t come out at all.
@@BarstoolTeacherIf true, then that would be dumb on Hasbro’s part.
@@BarstoolTeacher All the more reason not to back it. The more they induce fomo with lines like "this is the only time we'll ever make these figures", the more I don't want to support them. They seem to lack confidence in this projects merits vs its cost.
I would find it odd that someone would want Wuher, known as a bartender, on their own. There may be a few, yes, but not enough to justify tooling. Having him included with the scene he’s tied to makes total sense
@@ToyingAround I agree including him with the scene he's tied to makes total sense. I'd include more figures at that price to be honest. But saying its odd that someone would want him without buying an overpriced Cantina doesn't reflect Star Wars collecting history. He's been made in the past, why not now? You think he'd be less wanted than other Cantina characters or Jabba's Denizens with no speaking lines? Do you realize how many collectors already have a cantina/bar display of some kind (official or not) that they'd add him to? If he wasn't wanted, he wouldn't make a good figure to use as bait behind an overpriced crowdfund. It's a greasy tactic. I say just acknowledge it, whether your going to accept it or not.
Not my taste. I do think this one might manage to reach the initial fund goal. Sadly that means everyone who gets it will be screwed out of the tier unlock figures that they literally paid for. These are NOT bonuses. Hasbro admitted they are factored into the price from the beginning
okay... did they express any concern for the cost of going back and getting the previous cantina characters? most are VERY expensive on the secondary market now and they are gonna skyrocket in price once this set gets funded. so the vast majority of backers won't have anything to put in their expensive cantina set.
They'll have 10 right off the back if this fully funds and the 4 heroes in the pipeline.
They didn’t mention specific characters but did say there’s going to be more aliens for the bar. Wouldn’t be hard to release some older molds if they still got em
I keep seeing this type of comment and I just don't get it. If you're a 3.75 star wars collector willing to spend $400 on a cantina play set, it's guaranteed that you already have a big collection of cantina aliens. I mean, if someone has passed on every cantina alien figure over the years, I doubt they'd be interested in this to begin with
Great episode and recap! I can understand some of the criticism of the writing/dialogue, but overall, the story, acting, action and reveals have me captivated. Also, wildest reveal - THE Star Wars was watching the stream! 🙌🙌🙌
That Shoto saber looks like the toy released back in the 2000s. I have it and the shoto comes out from the main saber and also lights up and makes sounds…
1:55:31 love this Yoko! I'm so tired of endless moaning about everything since ESB. Look where that's gotten us. Consider the precedent this set, who its empowering, how counterproductive it is to creators wanting to touch Star Wars, how hurtful it is to the ones that do, and how annoying it is to fans who just want to enjoy it. If you've complained about RoTJ, PT, ST, and all of D+ (except of course precious Andor and Mando s1-2) at this point you've complained about the majority of Star Wars, and it's time to find something else to enjoy.
Just have to be aware of what’s for you AND what’s for others! Thanks for tuning in
Great episode was episode 5. Put the haters back into the box. This is great viewing every week for me. Also my wife is a twin, I need to get her to watch this for her perspective. But I might wait until after the series ends so she can binge.
lol does she have any twin stories? Let us know
Yord knew who the Stranger was. He looked at him and said "You!" before the Stranger dispatched him. The stranger is only familiar to Sol. Perhaps like you guys said. Abducted child who left the order because he was too Damien Omen II for all their "rules." My observation and 2 cents.
Yord DID meet Qimir on that planet so I’m going to assume he was shocked it was the “sidekick” but it could go beyond that
Great segment. Was out for a couple weeks, and now I'm all caught up!
I think for the tamashi exclusive its two per person.
I’ll be multiple people
@@ToyingAroundReally hoping that line isn't outside in the heat again 😅
To get the tickets? I hope not either
1:24:54 - I think Mae helping/teaming up with Osha will be in the finale/climax fight, when the "Wonder Twins powers, activate!" and Mae and Osha kick the Sith's ass.
52:30 - Kevin referring to him as the weasel now makes me want Pauly Shore in Star Wars.
Some people just enjoy being pissed off.
Really like Yoko’s shirt.
Late to the party, but I appreciate the focus on the story and merits of the show and leaving the rest around this show out. Fun, positive vibes all around. Even from Paul :D
We can make a stop motion animation using those new Street fighter figures to recreate Marvel vs Capcom series.
Must have
They did a rerelease of that 1:18 Ecto-1 just recently, saw it at my GameStop today.
Ah ok that’s good! Stills strange to out it out back then with no 1:18 figures…
Caught that little Seinfeld reference
Oh damn, another one lol
Oh did I have two? I know I did the GIF for “Jerry idk….”
@@ToyingAround “I like a pinkish hue”. May have incidental but George like a cheek with a pinkish hue 🤣
YES! deep cut. That was intentional. “I like a good cheek” HAHAHAHAHAH
Ah man, I missed it live. Your pulls have ruined Tokyo Revengers and the acolyte for me now 😂 good luck at the toy show!
Lmao thanks dude! One more box to go
cool done. Toying~
This is hilarious, too funny
