Any tips on getting those mitered corners? Looks like you've got a little jig to guide the plane, but I've never seen one like that before!

I used as a guide a simple piece of wood, sawn and planed at an 45° angle. The whole secret is to constantly check the angle using a protractor

Yes, a classical guitar is enough for learning. But if you have a high level, then it is better to have a flamenco guitar. It differs from the classical guitar in its shorter sustain, extremely fast attack, etc.

Fantastic video, congratulations! What neck angle do you recommend for classical and for flamenco (to be set in the solera) . Would 2mm and 1mm sound correct?

Thank you! On this guitar I have 3mm, on the other 1.5mm, and so on. It depends on whether there is a dome on the top and what kind of dome it is. It would be better to draw a diagram and calculate this angle yourself

La segunda, los laterales y el trasero es madera de palosanto o madera ovangkol quisiera saber si laminada o maciza. Thank you 👍 The top is solid spruce, the sides and back are solid Indian rosewood, the neck is spanish cedar, the fingerboard is ebony, the bridge is Indian rosewood. I work very slowly because I have to combine raising my daughter, work, housework, etc., so it takes me about 150 hours, but I have never counted exactly. Usually this is 4-6 months. The body is solid Indian rosewood, very important for a good sound of course together with the spruce top. I put the Ovangkol option because I understand it is very similar to rosewood. Spanish cedar neck, very good choice of wood for the neck, I think, one of the best for the neck of classical guitars. The ebony fingerboard, typical of high end guitars. Very good woods and materials and good work as a luthier. Congratulations for the good work and for working the Spanish heel, the best and most reliable union of the body of the guitar to the neck. Am I the only one interested in who made the rosette? And more importantly, how? But, considering the attention to detail in this build, it seems like a waste of effort when you don’t radius the fretboard.

On a classical guitar, we almost never use a radius fingerboard. This was the fashion a few years ago, but time has shown that it doesn’t work well. And this is my view as a professional classical guitarist, not a luthier🙂

This is a design by José Romanillos, one of the most famous luthiers of the 20th century. I made this guitar using his system, so I left his headstock shape too.

I have heard a lot of classical guitars. That is one of the best I have ever heard. It is beautiful, your woodworking and luthiery skills are wonderful, but, if the end result doesn't match all of that, if it doesn't SOUND good, then it was all for nothing. That guitar is definitely worth something. It has that certain timbre and sweetness that just makes you want to hear more. That's magical. Great job, Aleksey.

Прочитал тут комментарий о том, что цена завышена, хотел сказать, что не нужно сравнивать среднюю цену по рынку с ценой отрезка времени художника, как оценить - это абсолютное право автора. В 17-м году сделал свою первую лютневую гитару собственной конструкции, строил полгода. И для меня она вообще бесценна, как первый опыт и эмоции. Даже был интересный разговор с коллекционером уникальных инструментов, объяснял ему парадокс - почему моя на коленке собранная лютневая гитара будет стоить дороже образцов от профи-лютье, человек понял и принял мою точку зрения. Сейчас, 5-й месяц, доделываю вторую - 12-струнную уже, также по своей конструкции и для себя. Такие видео-материалы очень вдохновляют на новые подвиги! Спасибо! It may not be visible in the video, but there is a small step on the solera that sets the required neck angle. In my case, the "0 fret" 3mm below the top

Аккуратность прям на высшем уровне. Подскажите, расположение обечайки к торцу верхней деки чем обусловлено? И еще вопрос, чем вы смачиваете обечайки перед их гибкой.

Спасибо 👍 Есть разные способы, каждый выбирает как удобнее. Этот вариант использовал Хозе Романильос. Мне кажется, тут несколько плюсов, например, проще сделать точную форму корпуса. Но если вы используете молд, то это конечно не имеет такого смысла. Ещё мне нравится думать, что такой вариант создаёт меньше напряжений в деке, так как на сформированый купол нет давления обечаек по краям и тд. Обечайки я смачиваю обычной водой, можно дистиллированной, чтобы в поры не попали растворенные в воде соли

Учитывая, что этот стык потом фрезеруется и заполняется кантом возможно и небольшая разница. Хотя и накладывает ограничение на ширину канта со стороны деки. Еще вопрос, какой клей в используете для приклейки как вы их называете "peones"? Спрашиваю потому что сам собираюсь сделать гитару, но никак не начну. @@dukhovich
