🤦♂️ not the air was the issue. Your injector was already dryed out from biodiesel. When you let air in it’s stuck. You crank it to much and you don’t loose the last fuel line for air goes out also you have a hand pump on the side (269 times have to push it ) also on dd15 you can see witch inj is out. Total bs your mechanic guy. When somebody change the fuel filter your system pressure dropped to zero for even days …, dd15 fuel system lubricated by the fuel. So when you have bio diesel that can be the issue. This engine designed for European market. It’s no bio diesel more than 7% at Europe this engine can’t handle this fuel that’s why mechanic telling you add lubfication to your fuel. Before next time to change anything read service manual or ask for a good mechanic. Worth it.

if you have a ham radio time to call for help that being said i'd come back out with a tractor, impactor and a bunch of 5' rebar sections, the rebar gets hammered into the gaps before you fill the holes back in and make sure they are at least 6" under the ground before filling, once filled and packed back up the ground will not wash back out there again in fact if you can i'd say also add more rebar on the sides of the road where it didn't collapse so there's less work in the future

I got a 2007 freightliner conventional with 1.3 Million miles on it. Motor rebuilt two years before I bought it. I have literally replaced all the airbags, all the leaf springs bushings, driveshaft, AC compressor, air compressor all that . Almost killed my business. And I replaced it all. It was not 40 or $50,000 though. it was 20,000. still at that price and all of the headache and all of the money that went in still feel the time it was not worth it. With all this in mind, it was 2023, which was such a horrible year to get into the business.

Definitely 99-07 pre emission. For a new owner op you can’t beat a Freightliner with a Series 60. Try to start local, then venture out regional once you learn your truck and get it dialed in. Perform good maintenance, buy virgin tires and go make some money.

So you said you would have better fuel mileage with a 565HP engine over a 500HP engine because it’s less stressed. What do you mean by that? Is that engine package only using the full 565 whenever you’re hauling heavy?

For someone who works in the oilfield for that long I never understood why you use emission trucks. You know what you’re doing regardless but never knew why you won’t buy an older truck and rebuild from top to bottom.

BS if you are getting charged the original price for taxes then you need to register it in another state. I started driving in the late 80's and bought my first rig in 1990 and was a LLC company I incorporated in 1998 after I had 10 Tractors and 17 trailers now you have several taxes in the trucking industry between the Federal taxes and State taxes I don't know what state your registering in but it sounds like you need to change it if they are chagrining you that
