On this channel I try to make people aware of this way of climbing where you need to be much more concentrated on your body position and the holds you are about to use next.
This way of climbing feels quite different and I hope that you feel motivated to try it yourself.

Good sht💪🔥👍
Real question, are you blind or is it just a challenge having eyes closed ? Either way its really impressive
It's just for the fun/challenge of it. There's this part of getting to know the moves and where the holds are and also the part of being much more aware of one's body position and the minutes changes of balance. Give it a try with challenges below your climbing level ;)
I hate slabs, but that was still insanely impressive!
Slabs suit well my way of climbing that relies a lot of being super aware of the body and the shifts of balance points....but I know it's not for everyone . Specially if the slab goes too high and you have extremely bad foot holds to test you nerves :D
👍
Danke :)
cool send :) but socks with climbing shoes >:(
Why not?
i wander if you could help me i had my second time ever climbing today and flashed a v6 but then i struggled with some v3-4s is it technique or lack of experience in have the strength and finger strength just cant get my body positioning right
Yeah, climbing gets much easier when you figure out the movement and body position envisioned by the route setters. If something seems harder than it should be and you can't figure out why so just ask to other climbers at the gym. Climbing is a very friendly activity. I'm sure you'll get good tips if you dare to ask :)
most underrate climber on KZread keep up the good work!
Thanks :) I do it for the challenge that it takes to memorize a boulder and stay calm and collected while climbing it without seeing the holds. You should give it a try :)
first
nice
Thanks :)
Nice climb. Tell your gym to play better music. 😅
Any request in mind? ;p
@@geometryofbouldering4315 my old gym used to play 80's rock, reggae, etc. all the time. It was pretty cool, especially considering it was free for me.
can see them forearms from here mate
The power of 4k in motion ;)
Bolt holes!?
Yap😋
I tried without but the feet are too sketchy to feel comfortable enough to do without 😅
you crushed that!
pretty easy climb tbh
post a better one then.
even if it is(which it really isnt) thats just a shitty thing to say lol
@@ALECTORMANCY also shitty to clickbait :p
Indeed it was an easy boulder. I never said it was a hard climb. I just liked the flow of it and being able to statistic the initial coordination move. The main drive of this channel is to share boulders that I enjoyed climbing and that I figured they could be done blind sighted hoping these videos might inspire others to try also to do these kind of shenanigans :)
@@alwaysjarron6260 There was no clickbait lol. The intended beta was a dyno and he did it static, therefore he broke the beta.
Impressive!
tnx :)
This young man is simian in nature
Very impressive
tnx :) Took me a while to get the semi-dyno working but it was worth it as the boulder is quite neat :)
But... TheseHolds are not red!
But the herring is..... ;)
holy that looked really hard, nice send
thanks :)
That initial stand up was smooth. Nice job throughout.
Are your eyes actually closed ?
Yes
0:39 , left foot touching yellow , disqualified
Most fun guy on parties
literal🤓👆
nice, what grade?
This boulder was part of a competition so they didn't grade it but I would say 6A
Loved this climb, the intended beta is a dynamic toe catch though !!
I know....but since I don't do new style of climbing anytime I can cheat my way through a dyno I grab it with great honor and pride ;p
wowzers browsers
:p
Every time I thought you were done the problem KEPT going. That look hard af.
It was......right from the get go, with the alternate beta to avoid the dyno till the last moves where you have to slide between two holds that are too near by one to the other and that are 80% friction free.
do you know the grade on it?
Not the exact grade but it's around 6B+ and 6C+
Oh nice
God you are beautiful
I thought it ended when you got to the top and then it KEPT going to the side.
That's where I got the chills from :D
Are you blind or just do it for the challenge? Nice send.
I enjoy the challenge of doing it with eyes closed. I do the boulder a few times to dial in the moves and in order for the body to memorize where it should be at each given time during the send then I work on it with eyes closed. Sometimes things go quick.....others there's a move that's hard to dial in and it takes me a while to unlock it. At the end of the day it's a different way of climbing that procures you with a different array of sensations from climbing with eyes open :)
Insane move but the entire route seems to be just that one move basically. Wish i could try it. Man watching bouldervideos is fun but makes me sad because i always wish i could just try that route right now 😭
Mind you, there are a lot of these boulders I wish I could do them again.... I do this videos to show people this alternative way of climbing.......but the boulders, I choose the ones I enjoy a lot for the challenge they give me for doing them with eyes closed and many times also to show nice boulders :)
I was saying why's bro not precise with this feet then i saw the name of the channel and realized you're climbing like that with your damn eyes closed holy shit good job
it's a neat challenge that gives you a whole different set of sensations and emotions. Makes you much more aware of your body and the minutes positions of the feet and gravity forces. Try it on easy boulders that you can memorize well the moves and the position of the holds and you'll understand what I mean :)
Awesome! keep it up!
thanks :)
awesome, I really want to start climbing, but really haven't got the time to stop and start at the local climbing gym any tips for beginners? How do you come down after you got to the top?
Tips for beginners are just start. Climbing isn't nearly as scary as people who never climbed think it is. If you get stuck at something ask for help most climbers would love to help out with the beta or help fix a problem with the technique. And about coming down you can either jump or climb down using any hold you can reach. Most gyms have neutral holds specifically for climbing down
Он слепой?
No no, I just enjoy the extra challenge and different sensations I get from climbing with my eyes closed :)
That Footswitch technique was hella smooth
thanks :) If you've see my other sends you'll get to know that body awareness is my jam :):)
Nice bro!
Thanks :)
Nice send!
Thanks. It's a nice..and damn hard to decipher the moves boulder :)
Wait…. Is he doing that blind?!?! That’s 🤯
Yes, I did it with my eyes closed. All my videos other from the ones I posted during Covid are done that way. I dial in all the moves, body and holds positions.......then I try to get the boulder done with eyes closed :)
@@geometryofbouldering4315 that’s amazing! I might have to try it myself. I noticed when you were feeling for some of the holds etc…
Nice V2, imo kind of soft. But still a nice send, congrats!
Well, the boulder was supposed to be a coordination move and it would be more hard to get it done the official way.....at least for someone like me that hates so much that style of climbing. The grade of the boulder is actually V6. It looks more easy than it is because I'm quite handy with balancy problems. And mind you that the first dish on the left part of the boulder I crimp it with my finger nails otherwise I wouldn't be able to be stable enough to reach the next hold.
@@geometryofbouldering4315 Yoooooo did He Just call IT a v2😂 IT was ultra hard i honestly want to make a law that requires all These cоcky Kids to Go to a Gym and See how hard those climbs really are😅
What's the grade on this one?
In european grade I would say a 6B or 6C
Lol it’s barely 6a
@@cloclo14 4+ at most
@@cloclo14Depends on your climbing style, strength and if you done the boulder times enough. After 3 or 4 sends the body starts to get the hang of the moves and definitely the boulder gets less hard. All the challenges I post here are done with eyes closed.....after having done the boulder enough times with them open to get the body memory dialed in. Tha's why sometimes the boulders don't look as hard as that ;)
@@cloclo14where tf do you live where campus moves and a kneebar are considered 6a?!
that kneebar angle is CRAZY
Start looked brutal.
Indeed......I spent a good deal of time finding the best position to be able to do the first couple of moves as efficient as possible to still have enough stamina for the rest of the boulder :)
Nice send!
Thanks!
Thats a crazy one!
Got many more crazy sends on my channel ;)
Lol i remember doing this one. The first orange I ever flashed
Cool :) I flash oranges once in a while too....but no red flashes to my name yet `:)`:)
this in romania rghite what is the name of the gym?
Nah I think this is France, I can hear french people in the background
It's in Switzerland.....the french part of it. The gym is called Totem.
Wow... that last hold... not sure I would have spotted that! (Not that I'd be trying that grade anyway!) Good job!
Thanks :)
What is the geometry component this video and/or your channel?
Well.......when I started the channel my idea was to show a boulder then explain all the different intricacies of physics and centers of gravity and whatnot. I eventually dropped that idea when I made the first video and discovered my calm and collected way of talking made the whole thing feel kinda dull and not very interesting but kept the channel to share my climbing adventures that eventually got me into sharing this crazy idea I got of memorizing all the moves of a boulder to end up doing it with my eyes closed. And this year I got full on exploring this alternative way of climbing hoping it can motivate others to try it too as it really changes the way you feel on the wall :)
@geometryofbouldering4315 fair haha. Good channel and good luck in your journey!
@@CtHtThomas I updated the channel's name to be more aligned to it's new ethos :)
