    Thank you for sharing, wondering whats the height between bottom of the faucet to the first obstruction. Found some faucets that could fit in US, the Ambassador Model: 132-1727-CP and the Barka 2600. The first needs 5" 1/4 for the hot/cold mixer version and 5" for the cold only. The Barka needs 4" 1/4 however does not swivel up down and comes from Europe.

  • @owcampervanadventures2738
    @owcampervanadventures27382 жыл бұрын

    Hi Thank you for your txt.. I haven't done a video on the sink install... 1. Decide on your location 2. Decide on which tap you want to use however make sure the tap is clear when you close the sink. 3. Drill using a holesaw bit to secure your tap and depending on the type hose you use these can be included with your tap.. 4. The waste outlet 19mm hose will need to feed out from the underneath of tap area so make sure you allow enough clearance depending on the way the waste is going out to internal storage or external storage.. Test waste before you fully fix the basin to the wall.. 5. Once you have all the tools you need it should take approximately 2hrs to install. Hope this helps you

    Hi, I recently fitted my diesel feed into the top of the grey breather pipe ( removed from sender, drilled 5mm hole), this avoided disturbing the sender unit and chance of debris into tank. I used a smaller bore fuel pipe than that supplied with the original kit, works a treat.

  • @lowrider075

    Hi Michael, What fittings did you use, and how did you feel the fuel line into the tank through the breather? PM me if you would, Photos would be great. I have saved Jamie's video (thank you Jamie, great vid) but, if I don't have to disturb the sender unit, then I'd rather not.

    @@lowrider075 my research was from Agora vanlife / on how to do main tank feed through breather. I fitted the diesel filter and put it on top of the sender unit so I can acess it easily for cleaning . Also view vanlife RX for alternative fuel line and pipe into tank. My fuel line is about 5m I bought an insulation too to cover the pipe before feeding it along chassis to the rear where my cdh is situated. Only one problem after a year and that was the glo plug. I wish Id mounted my cdh on its side , you tube again has lots of info on this too.

    Did you do anything to seal it other than just tightening the thread? Since doing this I have had a check engine light... I'm torn whether this is because of me fitting the stand pipe in the breather hose OR the fact that the bad weather killed the battery and its since been recharged. Brand new van. In for a check on the 5th of jan.

  • @owcampervanadventures2738

    Hi there. Am looking to install a diesel heater in a van and use the fuel in the main tank (like you) rather than a separate one. Mine is not a common van so there's not really an OEM-type solution; it's not a VW-T4/T5 sort of thing but a rare Toyota. I can see why it might be useful to install a separate pickup into the tank, especially as in your case you have a large plastic access port where you can bolt in a pickup and also limit its depth both so you can't drain the tank with the heater or pick up crud from the bottom. In my case I don’t have this ready option so I wanted to ask whether you’d thought of the option just to 'T' into the return hose back to the tank? This would be more straightforward than a separate pickup and most return hoses dip deep in the tank, too. Interested to know your thoughts, please.

  • @owcampervanadventures2738
    @owcampervanadventures27382 жыл бұрын

    Hi thank you for the message.. I actually think that you should probably be able to get that setup to work on your Toyota as long as no air is intrained into the t connection you create before going to your fuel filter & pump to feed your diesel heater.. You should be able to see the amount of fuel In the clear filter and because the diesel heater uses very small amount of fuel I reckon you won't overdraw the return pipe.. Best of luck with setup and be good to hear back how you get on.. 🤞👌
