Happy summer! ❤ I started a handmade quilt in the Spring and am still working on it. I'm taking my time, it's my first one and although it's got a lot of mistakes, I've learned so much and I'm loving it! I hope you enjoy yours and I'm looking forward to seeing it 😊. If you're interested, Kate at "The last Homely House" has very good tutorial videos on KZread that helped me a lot. I loved your Scotland vlog! I've wanted to travel to Europe for so long, I love seeing videos of all the different places and also the hikes! Haha! "I'm not a goat!" That was the best and I've had the same conversation with my husband too! I'd love to do a hiking trip but don't know anyone else interested, so I've been googling and came across the "Wild Women Expeditions". They look amazing and there's one in Scotland! It looks like so much fun! 😊 Have a great summer and take care ❤

It could be the weight of the blanket but it could also be that as you are possibly not enjoying it, or wanting it finished that you’re converting that to stress in your neck and shoulders?? I know that sometimes if a project is no longer ‘heart jumping’ as It’s a Sarah says! It becomes a drag that creates the stress or at least that’s what happens to me !! 😂
@CamijoKnitDesignАй бұрын
But I actually enjoy working on it now. So I don’t think that is the reason. But I am sure you have a point ☺️ It might be the weight 🤷♀️

Oh yes! The cheerleaders don’t get paid. I was an NFL Cheerleader for Minnesota in the 80’s and we were paid one ticket and $15 per game. During the game which is 60 minutes of playing time for the players took approximately 3 hours. Except for halftime, when they weren’t playing we were dancing. It was nuts. I did love the experience, but I worked a full time job and cheering rehearsals plus games amounted to a part time job 15-20 hours a week. It hard for me to know they still aren’t getting paid. As far as shows go, my newest obsession was The Great Pottery Throw Down. It’s similar to the Great British Bake Off but with pottery. I loved it.
@CamijoKnitDesignАй бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. So cool that you were an NFL cheerleader. But I am so sorry that you ladies didn’t and still doesn’t get paid what you deserve. I it’s a disgrace. What you do is athletically just at hard as actually playing the game. They deserve so much more!!

For myself, i found that putting heavier large projects on a table while knitting, it was much better for my muscles. Just having the weight on a table made a big difference...but it can take time to adjust how to knit in a different position so i did take lots of breaks for a bit, then less as i got going. So glad I figured this works for me. Also I sometimes use a pillow on my lap for smaller heavy projects like sweaters.
@CamijoKnitDesignАй бұрын
Thank you. That makes so much sense 😀🙏

@@CamijoKnitDesign I also remembered that I had to try different tables to see which worked best, and with which chair(s). Some lacey items also need a table to help hold it all in place for a bit until we get comfortable with the pattern. Oh the joys of knitting and finding what works. Love knitting, and doing what my joints and muscles and tendons will let me do. :) Have a great day!
