    You blame the paint, but you obviously didn’t let the black cure long enough before you applied the clear coat, it re-activated the black causing wrinkling. You either apply the clear as soon as black tacks up (10 mins) or you have to fully cure the black (a week?) and lightly scuff before applying clear.

    Yikes! The base is bonded to the windshield . I can’t imagine that counting base can easily come off . I would bring your car to windshield replacement shop and let them have a look at the mounting base on the windshield . They can re-glue they back on for you with windshield adhesive.

    You can eject it . Unless you inserted upside down. In that case, get something small to pull it back out . Perhaps a sharp pick to pry it out gently.

  • @maniata8869

    I would do with any tile with adhesive secure to the wall. (No cement ). Please be careful with heat source around cabinet and have water spray bottle beside you . I also used old piece of drywall as a shield if I need to put the heat source near the cabinet . It don’t use heat source several inches away from anything that is sensitive high heat . Best of luck and thanks for the comment here .

    Thanks for posting this up. I just measured from ground post to positive wire and got 12.3V. From positive wire to oil filter housing also 12.3V. Does this rule out my ground strap? On my 2008 528, I just started to have intermittent longer cranking start issues. At one point I did notice that my break pedal did not depress all the way down prior to cranking. Very strange. Thanks again.

  • @maniata8869
    @maniata88692 ай бұрын

    It seems that your grounding wire is okay but if you have problem cranking , add battery cable jumper just to rule that out . If you don’t have battery booster cable, add any ground wire (big enough to handle to current) from chassis to engine metal component. About your brake pedal feel, I think it is another issue and it is unrelated to this grounding cable. Good luck and thanks for your comment here

  • @maniata8869
    @maniata88693 ай бұрын

    You are right . The grill is inserted into the front bumper. Few locking tabs from the bumper that you can push it down while remove the grill . Install by insert new grill back into those bumper tabs. This grill removal and reinstall can only be done with the bumper off the car. Emblem also held by the grill moulded plastic tabs . Gently open one tab at the time while pulling the emblem off the grill. Good luck and thanks for posting your comment here.

    So if I just want to retract the e brake do I have to remove the two t30 screws first or can I skip that ?

  • @maniata8869
    @maniata88693 ай бұрын

    If you want to retract e-brake, you have 3 options : Option 1: remove the 2 motor screws and reset the motor as shown in this video. Option 2: you can unplug the motor cable and apply battery power to turn the motor in reverse mode . This is a bit tricky but do able . Option 3: if you have high end engine diagnostics scanner , you can use the diagnostics scanner and toggle e-brake power to reverse motor using factory ODB port. Good luck 😉

    Just how old were the so called "engineers" who designed the VW Toe-Rag?.... 5 or 8 maybe? 10 years old tops! The Toe-Rag is a comedy of errors displaying a collection of ridiculous designs all in one tidy package. Should you disagree, please check out the four spear valves that are supposed to help drain sunroof water intrusion! WTF? Water is blocked from escaping, sits, overflows and toasts the Imobilizer Unit. A $3 rubber part, fries a $600 electronic part. VW currently charges $180/hr here in Texas to reprogram the Immobilizer unit, ON TOP OF....this $600 ridiculous part that adds zero value to a rather nice TDI engine, installed in a equally nice platform. 2 MOSFETS, 4 resistors; less than $20!!! take a shit! Add the smelly wet carpets and paint degredation and VW have created a nightmare, by ruining what could have been a great vehicle! Please let me meet these clowns...it's time for a "Come To Jesus" talk.

    Can't you use seam sealer for the arms?

  • @maniata8869
    @maniata88693 ай бұрын

    Yes you can use seam sealer . It is better since the suspension arms will be blasted with road rocks and sands. Just don’t put on too thick as it can hold moisture in between the arm and sealer if it is not bonded properly. I am planning to keep the suspension under coated yearly using undercoat spray can. @@maniata8869 I cant get that fucking bolt off

  • @mannymoo
    @mannymoo4 ай бұрын

    @@maniata8869 finally got the top nut! I ended up using a 3/8” ratchet, to a 1/4” adapter, to 1/4” drive 18” socket extension, to a 1/4” UNIVERSAL JOINT, and then the 13mm socket. I ended up getting it from the top-down on the passenger side near where the ABS and coolant housing are. The 13mm had to be fairly shallow because that metal pipe was in the way (possibly intercooler?). The universal joint allowed me to get the proper angle downward and inward to fully fit the socket on. Every single little thing mattered lol. Even the using a 1/4” extension mattered instead of 3/8” because the 1/“4 was much thinner and allowed for more wiggle room to get the socket seated as opposed to the 3/8” Getting the nut and bolt back on however… took two sets of hands. I admittedly couldn’t do that part alone. Having to hold the bolt from the bottom and threading from the top was abysmal. It was an *absolute bitch*. Had to have one guy on the ground pushing the bolt up through, another guy guiding the end of the new cable down onto the bolt and then threading it. Ended up losing the nut in the process, found another slightly smaller pair that threaded together and just ended up using those
