Associazione Musicale S.Cecilia Besana in Brianza is a lively cultural reality made up by nearly 500 members including students, musicians, generous contributors and valuable supporters.
The Association includes:

- School of music " Piergiorgio Riva " ;
- Besana Concert Band;
- Besana Secutores Drum&Bugle corps ;
- Besana Youth band ;
- Besana Pep Band.

Components of each group are amateur musicians strongly driven by passion for music.

In addition to various trips in Italy and abroad, since 1984 the Association has been organiser of the prestigious Besana Brianza International Band Festival, a non-competitive event held every two years. In the 2003 edition the Festival was honoured by the presence of Maestro Riccardo Muti.

In 2008, the Province of Milan assigned a gold medal for its valuable educational and cultural activities.
